Barry Gibb is the second most successful songwriter & producer in music history. They had six straight number 1's & had 5 hits in the top 10 at the same time in the Spring of 1978, are the 6th biggest-selling artists in music. Nobody can come close to their vocal ability. Had 5 decades of music history!

They have so many great songs that you could react to one a week and it would take you years to get through them all. Each as great as the one before.

The Bee Gees were a group and were recording before their younger brother, Andy, was even born. Andy went solo at first and there was a plan for him to join his brothers and make The Bee Gees a group of 4. That was supposed to be in 1980 but Andy died from a heart infection in early 1980 before they could make the group 4.
Maurice (pronounced Morris), in the green shirt died in 2003 from a tangled intestine. He refused to go to the doctor until it was too late and he had a heart attack while he was waiting for surgery to clear the intestines. Robin (hands on his hips) died in 2012 after dealing with colon and liver cancer. RIP Robin, Maurice, and Andy, we love and miss you!🫶

The Bee Gees rose to super stardom with the release of the sound track for movie Saturday Night Fever! It was a great era to be out dancing and parting, my lord we had fun! The best harmonizing you'll ever hear!

Andy Gibb on the Midnight Special singing I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. Andy was born in 1958, the year the Bee Gees were established. He was 12 years younger than Barry and 9 years younger than the twins. In early 1988 they announced that Andy would be joining the Bee Gees as a permanent member but sadly he passed away on March 10th just 5 days after his 30th birthday.

How Deep Is Your Love, Nights On Broadway, Run To Me, To Love Somebody, Tragedy, Alone...I bought the Rickenbacker 4001 in my photo just because Maurice (right) played one in 'Jive Talkin'...😁 He also founded the Disco bass sound with 'You Should Be Dancin' ...Over 1,000 songs...Enjoy!

    Love your Bee Gee reaction.
Andy was too young to join the group. He’s 12 years younger than Barry. But when he was 19, Barry started writing songs for him and he produced all of Andy’s records and did background singing on his songs. Andy’s first 3 released singles all went #1 (see some suggestions for him below as well).
Barry is still living and happily married for over 53 years with his wife Linda. Robin (the long hair) passed in 2012 of cancer; Maurice passed in 2003 of a twisted intestine during surgery or something like that); Andy passed when he was 30 from a heart condition. The Bee Gees started in 1958 (you can find video on line of them performing in 1960-63 as kids and teens); They released their last album in 2001 so they had a 6 decade career which was unbelievable!!!!
I’m not sure if you’ve reacted to any of these, but here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: ( just disregard the ones you’ve already reacted to).
    Too Much Heaven (R&B)
How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard)
    Staying Alive (disco)
    Night Fever (disco)
You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco)
Fanny be tender with my love (R&B)
    Jive Talking (R&B)
    Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)
    Tragedy (Techno? Pop)
    More than a woman (Disco/R&B)
    Love you inside out (Funk/pop)
    To love somebody (R&B)
    Massachusetts (pop/country)
Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special)
    Alone (pop)
    Love So Right (R&B)
    Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour)
    Lonely Days (pop)
    You Win Again (pop)
    Run to Me (pop)
How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B)
    Kiss of Life (rock)
Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country)
    Bodyguard (R&B)
The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor)
If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try:
    (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979
    (B) The making of the song "Just in Case"
    (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001
Some that only the avid Bee Gee fans might know that you might want to react to:
    My Lover’s Prayer (pop ballard)
    Letting Go (pop ballard)
    Subway (R&B)
    You Stepped Into My
    life (Funk/r&b)
    Children of the World (pop)
    Search, Find (pop or R&B)
Songs written by Barry Gibb (that other artists sung), alone or with his brothers (Robin &!Maurice Gibb):
If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman)
Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand). In fact, Gibb wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs.
Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons). In fact, Barry wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD
Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, Barry wrote every song on this CD too. The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals.
Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) and yes, Barry wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals.
Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees also sung background. The live 1997 from Vegas is excellent!
    More Than a Woman (Tavares)
    Love Me (Yvonne Elliman)
Come on Over (Olivia Newton John)
Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it.
    Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli)
Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer)
Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb
A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;)

This is clearly R&B - the Bee Gees were an R&B group back in the 70’s… then switched to pop in the 80’s 90’s 2000’s…. How deep is your love - is their biggest R&B ballad, check it out.

Bee Gees always did a big range of genres. Soul/R&B has always been part of the mix. To Love Somebody was a big hit in 1967.

you would really like...for whom the bell tolls....it's a late 80's song but so so good...they don't have a bad song...start back in the early 60's and go up to the late 90's...not a bad song ...the rabbit hole is deep and wonderful

Great reaction! Thanks! In addition to the above excellent song suggestions, I suggest you react to their “ Will you still love me tomorrow”? One of the few cover songs they did, but their arrangement is very different than the original (song writer Carole King said she preferred their version!!). Please check it out.

Great reaction to this great trio. The BeeGees were well established & had been singing together from 1958 on before Andy really got started in '76. So Bary wrote and produced Andy's songs and created hits for Andy to get his solo created up and running.
    Please react to:
I Cant See Nobody & Bodyguard, two of my favorite hits where Robin sang the lead. Yes the jeans were tight and I love the long Jesus hair on men as well as open shirts showing men's chests & gold necklaces! But Im a 64 yr old woman so I like the old fashions!

Andy Gibb was too young, to join the Bee Gees. There was a 12-year age difference between Barry the older one in the middle and a nine year difference between Maurice and Robin the twins. By the time Andy was around 19 or 20 he started his own career. He was going to join the Bee Gees. But he died at the age of 30. Due to heart failure.

Andy is much younger than gis brotherd. He was
a successful solo artist. Ling story short he passed Wzy just after his 30 birthday. It was s heart problem probably caused by years of drug abuse. Sadly he was humsn and all humans are susceptible to conditions thst can break us down.
