This new Superpowers line needs more villains. Specifically Legion of Doom members. Lex Luthor, Joker, Cheetah, Gorilla Grodd, Sinestro are the main ones. Riddler, Captain Cold, Brainiac, Bizzaro would also be cool.
I was on the fence about this new Super Powers line when it first started, but it's really starting to win me over. I'm impressed by how quickly McToys has moved to address criticisms of the first waves. Now if we could just get fewer repaints and more villains - and not have the villains being Walmart exclusives that no one can find - we'd really be in business!
Actually the original figures didn't have any gears into the legs (all the gears were in the chest, the inner workings of the Super Powers figures are visible on Google Patents), Kenner made them that way precisely to avoid the visible pin in the knee. That came at a cost though, making the seam line visible on the front of the leg. Another difference between McFarlane's and Kenner's knee joint is that McFarlane's are actually ratcheted.
I really dont get the idea of reissuing Robin in two different color schemes. Tim never wore his costume that bright. It should've been a Jason Todd era Robin so that when the next Tim figure drops you'd have all three OG Robins...
the tickness of time face definitely reminds me of his early stand alone run edit: nvm i’m watching it more and the more i look at tim’s face the more he looks like a grown man in his 30s
Yeah they might be if you could actually find them, mostly what you got is people selling them on eBay three four times what their worth in the store,I was able to find a couple of wave 3/4 but that's it,I got the blue suit batman finally, but was very hard to find
Great Review Jason! Looking forward to the bat-mobile comparison. Long story short, a friend of mine is coming to NY from Italy and since this wave is impossible to find in Italy i gave him money and asked him to pick these two up for me… what wouldn’t i do for the ol’ Tod
Best figure of the line so far. Hopefully we can get figures that are really missing from the original line like Supergirl, Zatanna, Black Cannery to complete my Bronze Age Justice League!
@@5POAFigureReviews I have been looking for Black Manta he does look great. He will look great with the rest of my vintage Super Powers Villains. We do need a Scarecrow, Solomon Grundy and Cheetah to buildout the Legion of Doom!
Since the re-scale I love this line but they need to focus on finishing the line. Batgirl(Barbara), Kara, Dinah, Selina are all worthy of figures. I would love to see the Titans finished and maybe Guy Gardner depends on how long it lasts. If they really wanted to they could do 90+ different figures. They also need to keep variants to a minimum I see no reason for a Tim Drake variant.
I doubt McFarlane has access to old Kenner molds from 84, so a more likely scenario is that they digitally scanned the original figure and tweaked it for their own purposes. Note the differences with the leg joints and the fact that the belt is a separate piece. The head is also a little different. Otherwise, the body is identical
@@5POAFigureReviews Okay, I understand you. McFarlane Toys made 3D scan of Kenner's old Superpowers figures. At the end of the day, their current figures are not identical to the Kenner figures from the 80s, they are similar figures with small modifications... and their boxes have the Kenner logo, because Hasbro gave them the license. So it is McFarlane Toys that is competing with the spin master DC figures, not directly Hasbro Kenner. I already understood everything, thank you. My respects to the DC Kenner figures from McFarlane Toys making vintage for nostalgic old boys. But for me the DC spin master figures are the best currently. Like the MARVEL Kenner Retro figures, they are the best. The supership, the batmobile and the invincible jet, maybe is what I would buy of McFarlane Toys.
@5POAFigureReviews I managed to find this batman at a different walmart I have never been before, and I'm ecstatic that I found him. Easily my favorite version in this line, well after the black version which I call the keaton batman lol.😂
@@WayneJayne24 The Batman Keaton by Kenner, is a mythical figure, have the same mold from Batman Superpowers, but has details from the armor of the bat movie, like the bat belt design and the golden bat logo... I saw one on eBay a few months.
The only thing I don’t like about the new superpowers Batman is the cape quality and the cape around the neck. The belt on the new Batman looks great! The head looks great with the black on it. Really makes it stand out! The new Batman is a 9/10 for me. I even like the shade of blue better on it compared to the 84 superpowers. I don’t have the newer robin yet but I do like what I’ve seen of it.
Speaking of things that came from SDCC out of Todd, at long, LONG last a basic comic book based Wonder Woman coming later this year. At the cost of it being part of a "Build a Digital Starro" wave. But at least my tradition of hoping for a Wonder Woman every year can finally be put to rest.
They do not appear to be available in stores, only online either through Amazon, BigBadToyStore, or McFarlaneToysStore.com. That said, Walmart has an exclusive Black Manta and will be getting an exclusive Reverse Flash.

Agreed! I'd love to see a bunch of villains we never had in the line before.
@@5POAFigureReviews I not unverstand why not Darkseid in his original desing???
@@agapitomemelas8181 perhaps we will get in the future a design of Darkseid that is true to the original super powers line.
There are now two Sinestro versions in the line. Weather Wizard would be an interesting addition too.
@@merylpye246 That will be good to see.
I remember when I bought the Kenner Super Powers Collection of The Joker when they selling here in the Philippines back in 1989
Nice!

McFarlane needs to fix the cape collar and give us a Hall of Justice and a Shazam!
Yes, yes, and yes! And more villains!
I just got my Batman and he looks great in NY old Classic Superpowers Batmobile. Thank you for the review.
You're very welcome!
I've passed on all previous figures.from this line, but I will get that Batman.
Good review. I like this line .Greetings Jason.

Alright you’ve convinced me ill buy one of these now
I just got them absolutely fantastic so nostalgic
Yeah, a lot of fun.

Tim had longer hair at one point and they reused that art for his black and red costume. So it is Tim, and not Dick.
Oh ok, cool. Thanks for the info
Underrated channel.
Thanks so much

Yes, I'll be discussing the variant situation in a video soon. Lots of potential for this line, but they are started to put me off
Love the dc super powers line.
Same

Yeah, a bit too much fabric around that c clip. I agree with you about the shade of blue! I like it a lot
I don't know if you've notice, but you said that Batman hight was 4 1/4" and Robin 4 1/2" , when actually it's the other way around, check the tape.
Ah, sometimes I do trip over my words. Thanks for catching me
Are they in shelves now?? Or?
I had preordered mine from McFarlaneToysStore, so I'm not sure about stores.
Saw Aquaman at GameStop over the weekend.

1:13 Looks like Batman is around 4 3/4" tall.
yeah, I misspoke and didn't catch it in editing
Hopefully this new superpowers like will make modern versions of the classic figures from back then.
Agreed!
Just the classic comic book versions.
There's something so off about the new ones for me. I'm not sure what it is, but I kinda' hate the face sculpts on all of them. They look squashed!
The faces def need work.
still waiting for Hawkman
It honestly might be best just to try to find a decently priced original Kenner one

I did. Total brain fart
