hey walcom i like gelblaster but nerf gelblaster are over price and the spare parts are not available if nerf can used standard parts like lehui and bingfeng used they will be good btw dart zone pulsar uses standard gears that used in airsoft so it's very easy to upgrade ... btw i always watch your video from the Philippines

It's interesting that they've made a 5-shot springer shotgun in this line. I'm not really a nerfer but I am an airsofter, and spring shotguns that shoot more than 3 pelletss are almost unheard of (if you want to shoot more than that you gotta use gas, which gets expensive). I assume gel pellets are a lot lighter than airsoft pellets but I hope airsoft manufacturers take a look at this and try to figure out a way to make it work.
Gel balls are also 7.5mm each, so either the blaster uses 5 barrels (which would be a very chonky gun) or they load 5 into the same barrel which would not turn out well
@@ExtraThiccc Judging by the chevron shape of the barrel and pattern the balls are depicted as firing in on the box, I'm guessing it uses a multi-barrel design. I don't think a single-barrel design would even work without a shot cup and wad to hold them in place, which admittedly would be very cool and more realistic than the multi-barrel systems, but I don't think you'd be able to get enough airflow from a spring/plunger system to make that work. There's a line of airsoft guns that operate like that (the APS CAM870s) and not only are they very expensive to buy, they burn through a ton of CO2 to work and the shells are pretty expensive to replace if you lose them. I assume a gel blaster version would be pretty much the same story.
Come to think of it, you could probably load gel balls into a CAM870 shell and still have it work, but they were designed for airsoft pellets, not gel balls, so I doubt the performance would be great. They also start at like $300, require copious amounts of CO2 to run, and only realistic-looking designs are available, which might not be an option for a lot of younger players who are into nerf and gel ball blasters.
Gel balls are usually .21-.23g

I've been into nerfing for a while and seeing a nerf brand shotgun that fires 5 instead of 1 or 3 darts is great.
Seems like Gelfire is the only Pro Series Nerf blasters we will ever get 😢

Keep in mind tho that the series isn’t Nerf Gelfire. It’s Nerf *Pro* Gelfire. Nerf Pro seems to be separate from the Gelfire line. Perhaps Pro Nerf blasters are on the way. If they are tho, expect the Nerf Pro short darts to suck just like the elite darts lol

If you’re uninterested, I can try to paraphrase it, but I like to be very technical, so I’m going to put it in a languageI understand first. I don’t mean to treat you like an idiot by saying this. I’m just saying: you’ve been warned.
Pro dart aerodynamics are a bit different. Waffle head darts work on long darts because they don’t go too fast, but on short dart blasters and pro darts in general, the dart head tends to be a little bit smaller than the rest of the dart body, and it appears to be a tad bit more offset than the straighter, more upright had found on waffle head darts. These are for aerodynamic purposes, as this subtle change can improve dart performance. Additionally, it reduces the friction from the barrel in springers, which as we all know use tighter metal barrels around the dart for better seal. Having a smaller head reduces the friction from the rubber against the metal, reducing the energy loss of firing a dart through the metal barrel. Im moderately interested in the gel ecosystem. What im really waiting for is more data on how eco-friendly it actually is. Not much good taking something where a big selling point is not having to clean up because the ammo is biodegradable if it turns out to be pumping out a ton of microplastics or something toxic.
no idea on the nerf ones but Gel Blaster brand uses starch and is supposedly 100% biodegradable.
I'm pretty sure all gel balls on the market are biodegradable

Concerns including micro plastics.
Gellets/Gel BBs/Gel Rounds iirc are starch and water unless nerf/some guys out of China are doing something weird.
So biogedradable is likely not a real concern. And even if there are problems, they likely are not nearly as bad as normal Foam microplastic concerns, or especially Nerf Hyper Rubber concerns.
I've always been more interested in the foam flinging not really the orbeez esc blasters however these look pretty neat and could probably get me into wasting room in my arsenal even more
There are some pretty cool gelblasters you can get that are like cheap airsoft guns, and they’re more practical than darts when it comes to actually shooting at things. I wouldn’t be surprised if gelblasters overtake the dart blaster market entirely within a few years.
While I'm always interested in toy innovations, the love of modern foam is definitely tied to my nostalgia for old blasters. It's the thrill of playing with something that performs how I wished my old toys did as a kid.
I am genuinely curious as to how the shotgun will work (especially if it actually feeds consistently), but I really don't see myself ever playing with gel blasters overall. Other then that new one that dropped with quasi-glow/tracer rounds, I generally just can't see the beads, and so many of the blasters have some sort of bottle on top that ruins the aesthetic.
I was already looking into getting the Hydro Strike Pulsar Pro and Nebula Pro, but the shotgun and the sniper rifle actually look pretty interesting. Also, the fact that Nerf Pro is a separate thing from Gelfire (at least based on the marketing around the name) makes me think that actual Nerf Pro blasters are on the way. Nerf is just testing the waters with these gel blasters first to see if it’s worth it to go into this higher velocity sector of the market

I think the designs for these 5 gel blasters show some interesting variety. I haven’t made the jump into gel blasters yet but I think these blasters gives the consumer some options. I like them.
To be honest with you I'm kind of excited for it I'm kind of interested in seeing what their capabilities are and the fact that they put a sniper rifle gel ball blaster in the lineup is actually kind of cool alongside a shotgun ^^
having been in airsoft sniping... yeah i got a ton of gel blasters and you cant really snipe with gel blasters like how you cant really snipe with nerfs darts or balls. gel balls are light. and the more you go higher fps the more these things break in your barrel and you need to upgrade to stronger gel beads which gets you in the price range of airsoft.
if you want to spray and spray gel blasters are awesome for empting "magazines", hoppers.
I just don't like gel ball in general, I'd rather fling foam. The 5-shot shotgun is pretty nifty though!
I would like to see more moving parts on gel blasters. It seems like they are focusing on aesthetics too much. I enjoy the quirkyness of the Magstrike or a belt fed blaster. The noise and the feel is half the fun. Making a transparent shell would be a simple step in the right direction
I'm not interested in any kind of gel blasters whatsoever but I'm hopeful that maybe just maybe Nerf could integrate some of this stuff in to dart blasters and make their own short dart pro line
The Ghost actually seems pretty interesting. I can see a metal barrel when the extension is removed, so we have hope for a proper compression barrel. I wonder what the FPS is going to look like on it compared to the others.

This again proves nerf can make cool blasters, they just choose to beat around the bush about dart pro.
My guess is that their lawyers figure making high-performance dart blasters would cost too much in legal fees, and the market for them is very small compared to the actual market for dart blasters, which is primarily kids and adults who don't know or care about performance nerfing.

There's no way this company is going the next 5-10 years without producing a pro level blaster or something else like ultra but more powerful.
It may seem niche now, but pro will become common in the future. They'd be fools if they didn't get in on it when the money starts to send a message.
It doesn't even have to be the best, just something to show they could without caring about competition because they are already at the top in terms of branding.

I am more interested (went from none to might buy) in gel fire today than I was after seeing these, I am very curious too see how these specific blasters perform. The aesthetic of this line is growing on me.
I'd love to see some improvement from Hasbro but I think the jail blasters in general are really cool but I also think the foam blaster hobby is awesome
the fact that NERF(tm) ‘s only 150 fps blasters are gel and not foam really says something about how much they care about our hobby

@@Jaxrscott I already spend enough on regular dart guns. Gelfire is just redundant. The reload game is a large part of how I play. I do LARP, not normal "one hit you're out" shit. We have stats and variation from player to player and abilities that you have to call out loud to use. Gel blasters are 1. too high capacity to simulate using a gun of that type and 2. impractical for day long meetups.
I just see no reason to get them or use them when the people who'd be interested in that sort of thing would already have dart blasters, airsoft or paintball even.
I picked up the dual wield pack, they’re one of my favorite gel blasters. The no prime is awesome, and they blast reasonably hard too!
I'm looking forward to the pistols because I was looking for a gel blaster that did that exact thing that's semi auto and doesn't use c02, isn't electric or anything like that, only spring powered, I'm also gonna try to get the sniper rifle

indeed the gel stuff looks like the kid friendly version of bb or airsoft, small and fast engouh to be competitive but not to leave a welt, that and still having massive amounts of ammo on standby rather than "oh no I only have (small number) of darts left" is always nice
I really like the idea of nerf gel blasters more than other gel blasters aesthetically and functionally, and i like the single use ammo more than having to collect darts

I just straight up don’t like gel balls. It’s not fun to me. It’s why I veer away from paintball and air soft. I don’t want high velocity if it means leaving a welp. I chose foam ammunition specifically because it appeals to me. No matter what company makes a gel blaster, I will be forever uninterested. I’m happy for those that like it to be getting new stuff, however. I realize that Nerf is giving nothing foam related to the content creators lately, so I don’t blame them for making videos about this. It’s their paycheck and I would do it too. But since you asked, I answered. I gave a like only to support this channel and nothing more. I’ve BEEN subscribed cause Walcom is awesome.

Imagine doing sniper shotgun matches with these. That would be something else. I also like the shotgun but kind of worried about probable inconsistent feeding. That would be a major dissapointment 😬. Still excited though

Im actually interested in the Gel Fire bolt action sniper itll be my first Nerf Gel Fire blaster that i own and the sniper to me is the best lookin Gel Fire blaster. I hope to get it and try it out.
I would argue that the gelfire hopper needing to be jostled isnt as big a deal with the shotgun style platform since your gonna jostle it a bit just racking the chamber
I won't be buying any because I just use Nerf indoors in my little office so stock dart blasters are fine, but it's nice that after so many years they are making (or at least attempting to) a single product line, with a single ammo type, that has different firing strengths depending on the blaster. I really hope they can bring this over to dart blasters, people slap stronger springs in them anyway so Hasbro might as well just do it themselves (and then they can talk about how generous they are and how they are listening to the consumers and the shareholders get a big smile on their faces because public perception go up)

I bought into the Gel Ball ecosystem with the UnLocx 4-in-1. It's a quality blaster and I'm good with that.

I like Gelfire. The mythic has been on sale for sub $40, and the legion for $14. The price is acceptable for me, particularly since the build quality and aesthetics are excellent by comparison to other offerings. They're fun to plink around with and you can full auto with a mythic far longer than any flywheel nerf gun, which will be empty in a few seconds. The legion is a little quirky out of the box, but after modding it with a stock adapter and pump kit, I've had a lot more fun with it that I thought I would. I absolutely got my $14 worth of fun making it into a little SBR style manual springer. I'm not going to ditch foam blasters for gel, but I'm definitly picking up future releases to mess around with.

I feel like Dart Zo....er....GEl Zone is eating Nerf's lunch when it comes to gelball blasters. If I were going to do any gelling, it'd be with theirs.

It's gonna be a fun one to see Nerf and X-Shot selling Gel Ball blaster with almost same color scheme... Red/White/Grey with Orange beads!! I have to say I am kind of impressed by them. I might have to grab one or 2 of those (and the X-Shot Hyper Gel too)
Turns out that duel pack seem to hit quite decently someone did a video on it and it did manage to hit with 130+ fps if i remember correctly
super sad that MXL is kinda dead, its a super fun dart to use
and they were easy to modify into "shotguns" which could fire multiple smaller darts

so far gelfire has been everything i want in a line, except the ammo type. The thing is with darts they're a lot easier to pick up but with gelball you're literally just scattering microplastics all over, just poisoning the dirt
Not micro plastic. It’s used a natural starch base and biodegrades. Your foam darts actually scatter micro plastics. The foam used in darts is targeted by the eu for micro plastics contamination.

The nerf gelfire duel weld pistols are got to be the very basic weapons you can use, in case of you haven’t got any time reloading the hoppers, and just pulled out and pulling the trigger.
Honestly jumping into the gel thing because, well, other places are banning foam darts due to micro plastic concerns (The EU is apparently considering it?)
Honestly the sheer cost benefit of Gellets do help, and they get around environmental worries as they are pretty much just water and starch.
Add the immense cost/round value versus anything else, along with the power of even the lower end nerf gelfire ones being far higher than most normal Dart Blasters coming stock and it's a pretty compelling ecosystem.
The electric blasters coming with rechargable batteries by default helps too.
TBF, I do feel that part of the lack of hype/antagonism against Gel/Nerf Gelfire specifically is due to being worried it may "Eat" the foam flinging hobby. But it's kinda moreso it's the replacement due to regulation eating the foam flinging hobby abroad. And if the EU commits as well then likely can say goodbye to it outside of very cheap or very expensive products sold exclusively in the US
A gel fire legion review would still be cool in my opinion
I think Nerf have nailed it, as designer myself I give credit to the stylist of these, don't forget a lot of countries have banned gel blasters because of their imitation and realism so these should be available worldwide and you can't deny they are beautifully formed.
These are pretty neat, but I'm REALLY saving my $$$$ for that Walcom Kirin! :)

Feel like it’s been to long since the last nerf gel fire stuff it’s hard to get hyped for this stuff again but hey looks pretty ok
I recently found mega XL ammo in an ollies bargain outlet, and if its in there that doesn't spell good news for the future of mega xl because ollies is where products that didnt sell well or a store had too much of go to die
I also found the flip 32 and the hyper Mach 100, which just goes to show how well they performed from a sales standpoint, the flip 32 is fun, but not $60 worth of fun, same for the Mach 100, though in the case of the Mach 100 I'm going to pin the blame on the new ammo type that nobody had at its release, its a good blaster if you have the ammo

I'm totally going to buy the bigger guns to make them dart blasters. Cool shells, but not cool in gel.
I'm curious, how? The barrels are 7.5mm which is nearly half the size needed for a dart or .50 foam ball. And for rival it's even smaller
@@ExtraThiccc we can always do a brass barrel with a prophesy kit DIYed into the shell. Or do a stryfe drop in flywheel set up. But does need some shell cutting tho to fit the huge flywheels. I'm not afraid to mod blasters for the shells anymore.
