    So sad. And preventable. This is exactly why we need scheduled periodic state and federal inspections of medical devices like hyperbaric chambers, CT scanners, x-ray machines, mammography machines, etc.
    People might think that government regulations and inspections are a hassle, but they are important.
    And right now we don't have enough inspectors in a lot of departments in Washington DC for the things that do already require inspection, and the current administration wants to cut those departments even more. Call both US senators and your US representative to make sure they understand that regulatory agencies still need to be funded and staffed.
    And as far as state regulations go, we need for these non-accredited centers to have the same rules as hospitals when it comes to this type of device. So also call your local Michigan state senator and state representative, and ask them to introduce legislation to start requiring this at the state level.
