I think he just wanted to know if this would be like Ocean Gate, where nothing was left, or just like going through a fire. I don't think he wanted gory details. But those of us with science backgrounds have seen so much, we don't think of it being gross, but simply information to be learned from.
This is absolutely heartbreaking. Condolences to his family, friends, teachers and peers. Prayers for those who were called to the scene, you’ll need peace of mind and spirit. We can only hope that he felt no pain, no anguish, no anxiety. Rest well little dude.
So horrible for the victim and mother and staff. I also feel bad for the first responders. Being asked questions that needs time for investigation. My heart breaks for the child. Bring in a chamber that is supposed to help medical condition and it destroys him. :-(
They use it for different reasons. The use I'm familiar with would be carbon monoxide poison, severe burns, wounds, decompression, and in some neurologic conditions. Most people have probably heard of it used with divers who ascend to the surface to quickly. Condolences for this family and staff involved. RIP little man. 😢
Who was in charge of running the chamber? Who was responsible for safety around the chamber? Who did maintenance on the chamber? I really hope it’s not due to lack of safety protocols or maintenance!
Oxygen itself is not explosive. It just changes the rate of burn. Ie Kerosine Lamp burns slow at 21% O2. Kerosine Rocket Engine Burns explosively fast at 100% O2. This is a very safe process if all safety precautions are followed.
This is a horrific tragedy. The child is now in a beautiful place with Jesus. Prayers and sincere condolences to the family. Jesus please comfort his mother and family at this time.
The poor child’s body would be absolutely blown apart at a cellular level. You really don’t want to imagine it. My condolences for the family. His soul rests gently cradled in the heavenly father’s arms. 🙏🦋💐
This is a sad day for the family. This why there are so many rules and regulations that need to be followed when using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. The Hyperbaric Community will mourn the incident and the loss of the child.
Most often for 'The Bends' Rapid ascent from a dive, causing nitrogen gas dissolved in the body to come out of solution and form bubbles. But it can be used for other things... severe wounds that won't heal, carbon monoxide poisoning, gas gangrene, and certain infections where tissues are starved for oxygen; it helps deliver more oxygen to damaged tissues to promote healing by increasing the oxygen saturation in the blood. There's always quack therapies too.
Jesus Christ. Someone not following protocols to check for any defects before using. My daughter used to work with patients at the hyperbaric chamber for wound care affiliated with Detroit Metro hospital.
I did hyperbaric treatments manually in plastic bags for decubitus wounds (bed sores) in a nursing home in Hamtramck, MI. We used plastic bags and medical tape to cover the wound and applied the O2 that way, punching a small hole in the bag and taping up the hole with the tube of oxygen going through. Safe and easy.
I was doing some reading on some of the things that you cannot take in a hyperbaric chamber with you. One is actually a book and then I saw a cell phone. Look it up. Is highly possible the little guy had something electronic in his pocket while he was in the chamber. He forgot about it possibly a cell phone or electronics game apparatus. They need to check with his Mom or Dad to see if he had forgot to take something out of his pocket. A lithium battery in a hyperbaric chamber. Possibly the compression on a battery led to combustion. My heart goes to young sweet child and his family.😔 It's very sad.💔
What a horrible tragedy. My sympathy and prayers go out to the family, the first responders, and the employees of the facility. The loss of a five-year-old child will never be forgotten. I pray that this never happens again.
I'll bet money that the kid brought an electronic device with him into the chamber. Maybe he was allowed to bring a phone or iPad. Bringing an electronic device into a 100% high pressure environment, probably a bad idea.
Why do some reporters find it necessary to ask questions to what the remains of and individual would look like after an explosion. Sick
Reporters are so vile
Sure is.
Just as sick a Trump saying, dead bodies in the icy cold water of the Potomac.
@@renethomas6575I understand the truth is barbaric , best regards 🙏

Omg, this is horrific, the mother will never be the same.
Rich but f up
Neither will any of the EMS and healthcare providers.

Absolutely heartbreaking
Poor little guy💔🕊️💔
😥 absolutely barbaric 🙏
Like 300 incidents and over 135 deaths in these chambers. Its pressurized. They cant talk about what they saw bc its so incomprehensible.
Versus how many suicides were prevented from treatment - lyme, cfs, lupus, ect... No one cares about the suicides - they don't make the news.
" what happens to a body in a chamber when it explodes ? " What a frakin ghoul 😡
Very sad situation. My prayers are with the child's family.
And God Bless the first responders who are speaking. In God’s arms sweet little boy……
Some fked up common sense questions asked
God bless you, baby boy! You are loved and with the Lord. I am praying for your mother; may the Lord keep you.
That’s awful.
This is way too heartbreaking. 🙏🙏🙏
It's very heart breaking I cant even imagine
Static electricity
So horrible for the victim and mother and staff.
I also feel bad for the first responders. Being asked questions that needs time for investigation.
My heart breaks for the child.

Oh my GOD prayers
Why was the child in the chamber?

@christy3498 That is why I asked. I was a scuba diver years ago and that was the only reference I had.
Who was in charge of running the chamber? Who was responsible for safety around the chamber? Who did maintenance on the chamber? I really hope it’s not due to lack of safety protocols or maintenance!
This is just awful 😢
I would never put my child in one of those
What idiot reporter says she was late and asks for a rundown again? You were late to the press release!
And yet she asked the most intelligent questions.
Anything could have caused that explosion. If the room was dry, static electricity could have sparked it. This is a horrible thing 😢
Oxygen itself is not explosive. It just changes the rate of burn. Ie Kerosine Lamp burns slow at 21% O2. Kerosine Rocket Engine Burns explosively fast at 100% O2.

OMG! Utterly disturbing! That poor little boy & his loved ones!
What the hell happened?
This is a horrific tragedy. The child is now in a beautiful place with Jesus. Prayers and sincere condolences to the family. Jesus please comfort his mother and family at this time.
This same center was charged with fraud in 2021. Why did the state allow this center to remain?
OceanGate? Failure of machine after repeated use?
This is awful. I feel so bad for the person that found him. I hope he didn't suffer.
So sad
God bless this family. 🙏🏻 Just tragic. 🥲
Similar to Apollo 1 fire
😢🙏

That’s transdermal wound therapy.
Jesus Christ
May the Lord Jesus Christ hold the child and comfort his mother 🙏🏻 Honorable is the Name of the LORD.

They would have checked his pockets
Ridiculous questioning!!!! Terrible reporters. Prayers for the family😢

Oh My God 😮 … W T F …………
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
What in the heck is this ? Why was he in the chamber ... O my God !!!😮
I'll bet money that the kid brought an electronic device with him into the chamber. Maybe he was allowed to bring a phone or iPad.
Bringing an electronic device into a 100% high pressure environment, probably a bad idea.
Seems like the staff would know electronic devices cause the chamber to explode and would take steps to confiscate all such equipment.
I thought this was only in Dragon Ball Z , unfortunately we can't wish humans back in this universe, even with all 7 dragon balls. RIP lil guy 🙏🏾🕊️
Hyperbaric vs Hyperbolic.....not the same
@ShankyParts I was wondering why would a young kid be in that, are hyperbaric usually safe?
Youve got to be kidding! Wtf.... investigation? Total disgust, these staff obviously didnt inspect the chamber prior. Omg.
