@@yurilopes420 Invaders who attack invaders are particularly disliked in ER because the game forces 1v2/3 by design, so two invaders in the same world is very much uncommon, particularly outside of meta. Usually, such invaders are the same caliber of idiot as clueless as the host being invaded. That host was very much *not* an example of one.
Generally speaking, the crowd who watches souls PvP content overwhelmingly sides with the invader experience for obvious reasons (they're invaders themselves), so "like a host" is a universal way of disparaging player behavior, usually common to the host. Hosts are very often low skill players, mostly characterized by inability to space properly, not knowing how to dodge and not understanding poise, which becomes particularly evident when their phantoms die. "Roll catching exploit" is mostly an hyperbole of the sort of complaints casual players have about the way skilled invaders play the game. Some of these players do consider hardswapping an exploit, so the "roll catching exploit" meme will continue to live as a funny and apt representation of the way those people see the game.
If you want to get around to ER PvP it is recommended you try to invade yourself. Diving headfirst into PvP content like this can give strong but incorrect impressions of what fighting other people feels like. You don't want to be an idiot host, but you also don't want to immediately aim to play like Jee and players of that caliber. Try to figure out what you find fun.
Roll catching is so cancer in this game, especially when fighting tryhards (no offense to g9 he openly says he is a tryhard) who pretty much base their whole build on it

No, speed nerf would kill the weapon. Something like less dmg on crouch l1 is the way
@@Omega_2651 If they made dual great spears and dual spears about as fast and telegraphed as the current colossal crouch poke, it would be balanced. It's still decently fast, but not a crutch anymore. In it's current state it's literally the only attack people do with those weapons.

He also uses running R1. Speed nerf literaly can make a weapon garbage and bad. U have no idea about pvp weapon balancing

you get it at the church where yura the npc gets killed in altus plateu and you fight that invader npc dragon incant user. The physic is used to reduce the dmg you take when mogh the boss uses his weapon ash of war

Hey I’ve been out of the Elden ring loop for a minute. How is g9 doing those backstabs like is DS3??
How did you do that quick step into back stab ? I’ve seen it only a few times but I can seem to pull it off.
He waits for the other guy to do an attack with a long recovery, like a jump attack. Satisfying to pull off, but is starting to be one of the more annoying things in PvP right now considering people will abuse that quickstep the second you start reading them
If you do an unlocked backstep and push backwards with the right timing you reverse direction for weird attack timings or ninja stabs like you just saw in the video. It's something from DS1 and I'm glad they brought it back.

As someone who was really into PvP in Elden in the first weeks of release, what I would want to see in a sequel to keep me playing long term would be a focus on stable connections (imo it's unacceptable to hit a guy and have him take damage 5 seconds later) and proximity chat. I could see a lot more enjoyment coming out of pvp if I could chat and have a good time either as an invader or ganker. Have it as an option that can be turned off if you don't want it, but half the reason I play pvp games is to meet people and goof off or challenge each other.
Bro the amount of salt you would hear from pvp voice chat would be unparalelled to any game. Win or lose people get so mad at this game.

I believe I fought against this player too I didn’t really know what to do. best I could do was mixup with empty jump attacks with crouch attacks and flaming strike and impaling thrust
I also fought 5 of this player too in the arena the other day. Turns out it's a very common setup and easy to use with no commitment spam, elden ring style. Just learn that holding block removes all startup frames to sprinting and lets you turn at infinite speeds without pivoting and learn how to unlocked attack.

Do you purposely put endure on your riposte weapon, since there are increased chances of being surrounded after taking a riposte?
possibly, in ds3 it was standard to have 2nd slot caestus which had endure, which has myriad benefits, you would usually hardswap to a dagger to take a riposte, in elden you can just put the endure on a strong crit dagger so no need for the hardswap

I don't get why people use status affects aside from trying to get easy wins. Since they go through s since early Fromsoft days its impossible to beat an identical skilled player if one has a status that gives free procs and damage. The only status that isnt an issue is bleed as you take no damage in roll unlike the others which damage you or animation lock you for free damage, madness sleep and sure poison isnt strong but free damage.

I’m pretty sure you do it right after a long cooldown attack like a jump attack or a heavy, and you also have to be facing backwards by the time you get there

I don't consider great spear users (serpent hunter in particular) good players. It's a weapon that in my opinion shouldn't exist. Cheesiest playstyle this franchise has ever seen and its infected peoples minds into thinking that they are indeed good at PvP. All of this is to say that people bitch and complain saying "Dark Souls 3 PvP was better" when "Dark Souls 3 PvP" is alive and well in Elden Ring but no-one plays like it. Just a bunch of meta crutching, cookie cutter builds that 10,000,000 other players are using. Where others see "bad pvp" I see a massive lack of creativity.

OK I'll ask it, why do you use dual Lance's with qs? Your obviously good enough to play something more off meta. I guess because I just duel and not invade so I don't have to try and deal with gankers but I find the constant poking so unsatisfying a moveset to play. You lose more fights with off meta weapons but it's way more fun when you do, (for me anyway). Not attacking just genuinely curious
Jee mentioned before that dual lances are his favorite setup in all of Elden Ring.

It's the briar helm, it acts like armor of thorns and damages enemies on roll, I think he uses this to remove the damage reduction from the physick and the uplifting aromatic perfumes

i mean adding covenants is an easy solution. every game has had pvp coventants to actively encourage participation and rewarding you with unique spells. demons souls had a boss you could invade and play as. dark souls 2 let you invade into a bossfight. Darksouls 3 also had a boss you could play as. ur cute thinking that pvp isnt at least a part of the target audience and that elden ring really butchered it, especially at launch, less so now with the changes like sperate pvp/pve scaling, being able to invade the whole map instead of just where you are standing. and adding the arena. Still sucks we dont have proper pvp covenants tho.
