Hi Tanya. It’s me again the then architect. I have to say I never use the phone book in my country, I don’t think we have that though, by the way I am from Beijing China, I just have used a kind of book that contains the instruments, facilities, materials for architect, that is almost 2 inch thick. And I like the way that you tell a real story first and then explain the phrases you used in telling. This way helps to understand and remember much better. Thank you Tanya!

I actually dont remember the last time when I saw a phonebook. May be about 15 or 20 years ago. I was living in a small village in Ukraine, and the Phonebook was rather thin and a kind of handmade. Inside there were sheets of rude paper with long lists of names.

Yes. You are correct! Did I say "is"? This is one of those native speaker things. We often say things that aren't technically correct but rather what I call commonly correct. What I mean is that so many people say it this way that it is commonly accepted.

I don't want to date myself, but I can clearly remember there were 3 different kinds of phone books. The yellow pages, the white pages and a not so thick illustrated business pages (with paid ads). Put together, they would weigh a ton. Back then it was the only way to track a person. Later on, the phone co started a paid service that you could phone in and ask the operator to give you the information you were looking for.

OMG! I forgot about calling information. I think we dialed 411 to get that operator. That is why later we said, "give me the 411" when we meant give me the information.

what I am doing now is for practice no for judging. I am wondering. does you feel parent the same for all of the three girls. ? what is the way she calls you mother or Tanya? because you said before that his father must say what is propriate for her. he is the first one who setting the limits for her. so I'm wondering. is this a reason to not feel the same feelings about all of your children?
what are you doing is very helpful for me. I am setting my clock for Saturday about 11:30 p.m. . I can't wait for your live. oh and about Celsius ( us Greek people) the right pronunciation isn't with c but with k like Kate . you see the letter c but you must pronounce like k. so we have Celsius but in Greek we say Κελσίου. ( Kelsiu) see you on Saturday

Thank you for the tip about Celsius in Greek. I think my love for all of my children is so great and so deep that it can not be compared. Having said that, my relationship with them is different because they have different personalities and needs. Does this answer your question?
