    What are your experiences with teachers? Have you had teachers who empowered you by working together as a team or have your teachers been more like they are the authority? I'd love to hear about your different experiences.

    Hi! I'm from Cuba. I'm an english teacher & I follow your recorded lessons on youtube whenever I can. I just love them! Your voice is warm, sweet, and mild, perfect for a language teacher. Are these adjectives appropriate to describe someone's voice? I don't know, but that's the way I feel it. Your stories are so real & your English is so clear! I understand every single word & that makes me so happy! Congratulations teacher Tanya!

    Hi dear Tanya. At high scholl we had an English teacher very strict, demanding, and almost all students were fearful just when she appeared. She used to apply the irony and to show us her knowledges too much higher than ours. Terrific. Thanks a lot and i agree with you about the different methods to reach a real command of English. We need to be fostered not critized. Susana from Argentina.

    Hello, thank you for this video, I'm very tired from lots of advertisement how to learn English in the best way and fast.
    I love stories and reading. I had to take a break and focus to find my own best way how to love learning English and enjoy it. I was afraid of writing in English because I still make mistakes. I got interested in English seven years ago. But I finally found the right book to read and use it as my favourite textbook. Good luck, everyone!

    Hi Tanya, as you can see i pay attention to your videos more than once. An other example of crooket could imply the position of the human back, couldn'it? for instance: The elderly and crooked woman crossed the street quickly.
    There is an special neighborhood in Capital Federal, it has the streets crooket, so it's possible for anyone who doesn't know the place to get lost there. It is built within a big square set among four avenues. PARQUE CHAS is the name of that labyrinth. Cars are not going fast there; kisses Tania, Susana de Argentina.

      Susana, you are such a great self learner! Listening again and continuing to write is so fabulous! Yes, we use the word crooked to talk about people. We also use it to describe someone who is bad, who tells lies, who is a criminal. For example - The politician was so crooked. I can't believe anyone voted for him.

      I don't really have a favorite actor. I have lots of movies I like. One that my whole family likes is called "The Proposal" and I do like the two main actors, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. Recently, I enjoyed seeing "Where the Crawdads Sing". Tomorrow I am going to see "A Man Called Otto" Which is based on a book from one of my favorite authors, Fredrick Backman. The main character in this movie is played by Tom Hanks. He is an excellent actor.

    hello Tanya, I am a very fan of you and your channel and you're always so wonderful. your english is very tender for me like japanese people to understand what native people speaking english.
    The other day I found a sentence that is a little bit difficult to understand the meaning when I read a book about Bill O'Reilly.

    In this case what does it mean, chips?? like money??

    • @EnglishCoach3Ts
      @EnglishCoach3Ts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am so glad you are a part of our learning community! This is a difficult phrase. Let the chips fall where they may is an idiom, therefore, the words are not meant literally. Altogether the phrase means to let things happen the way they happen without trying to change them. I hope this is helpful!

      @@EnglishCoach3Ts I can't agree with you more. But I wanna add that one of the reasons why English is so hard is the differences between two levels: Intermediate and Advanced. I myself hit a plateau in learning english, and I find it stuck up to the advanced level. From beginner to intermediate level, it's very easy to go and improve, but in the second part it can be a nightmare and I believe we need a lot of effort, hard work and deliberate practice to get 'marginal gains' (Hihi I read some terms in 'Black Box Thinking')

    • @EnglishCoach3Ts
      @EnglishCoach3Ts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I absolutely agree with you, too. This is what happens in language learning in general and I think part of the problem is that we don't talk about it enough. We don't tell each other that it is common, it is normal. We need to tell each other that there isn't something wrong with what you are doing. Everyone goes through this. The journey from intermediate to advanced can feel like nothing is happening. It is happening. Keep going. Thank you for sharing. This is such an important topic.
