Langport - Somerset - UK - 29th July 2024

Luna has been picking out the places for us to go and today she chose Langport.
As the name suggests, Lanport was once a trading port, with ships navigating up the river to bring in and take out their goods.
Now the river forms a recreational are with picnic site along the banks.
We visited a restaurant for lunch that we had been to many years before with Lara.
More interesting architecture and a beautiful park, which became our private garden for the afternoon!
On our way home we stopped to see a curious church that straddled the road.

Langport is so close to where I live and I have never been. It looks so nice! Thanks for taking us there!

Tipping is much less common in England, and not expected

We always tip in England 10% if it was a good meal and good service, just as we would anywhere.
