“The game is dark” that’s how I immediately knew you haven’t played the previous game because this game 2x brighter than the previous one but I kind of prefer the atmosphere of the first game more just because how real it feels and really builds upon the tension and it’s clearly an artistic decision with more colorful environments but I prefer the darker world of the first one it’s part of what made it horrifying.
1: I knew the moment he complained about right bumper to jump. Second, turning down gamma in dl2 does not make it as dark as dying light 1, even comparing minimum dl2 gamma to maximum dl1 gamma. Even if it did, it still wouldn't be the same because games are designed to look a certain way. Gamma is not just meant to make a game brighter or darker, it's meant to make it just the right level for a given monitor to fit the style. Dl1 was designed to have a pitch black night with light sources piercing through it, while dl2 was designed to have dim nights, while still having lit areas be noticeable when you get close. I think one of the biggest differences is that in dl1, a single uv light, or a single fire are beacons from very far away, while in dl2, they blend in enough that they can occasionally be passed over without noticing them unless you are close enough. To be clear, I absolutely love both games, but they clearly have different design philosophies

I reckon it was more because there weren't any real motivations to go out at night. Double xp and the cost is having to tiptoe around, when one of the main appeals of the game was the fast and fluid traversal system

I slaughtered an entire Renegade group stuck inside a house with one of the big renegades and as I was collecting all their loot, I heard the slider doors roll up and this like small bandit looking guy with a bat rolls in with his black hoodie, and says "so you ready to die?". I PMSL at that moment, poor guy died in just a few hits.

The jump button being the bumper is unironcally 10/10 game design. I usually play on keyboard+mouse where you can look around and jump **at the same time** . This binding choice makes the game much better because you can look around... In a movement game... Which is pretty cool

I barely encounter them at night, and the nights are so insanely bright too. I just see the howlers and barely ever get violtiles since they are now a high tier chase type. Makes night exploration and missions rather easy. Dying Light 2 compared to the first is just way more casual and easy it seems. No nightmare mode either, bummed me out.
Jude Price RB is a great button for jump. Lets you jump while being able to look around, because you don’t have to move your thumb off the stick and to a button.

Coming from a man who has over a thousand hours in Dying Light 1, this series is notorious for being broken and stupid. It's half of the fun. And I love it.
I don't think that's entirely true, I played a fair amount of dying light 1 and don't remember any serious bugs, I know there was duplicating and stuff, I've also played through enough of two now to say this game runs well, I haven't ran into one bug, I have had a lot of crashes but I am running an Xbox One S, bugs and exploits are different things and just bc you have exploits doesn't make the game broken and stupid but I do get what you're saying the games do have a lot of fun exploits and some goofy shit like the dropkick
It may have quite a few bugs but remember the devs have supported and consistently updated the first game since its release and will probably do the same for this
Yeah, sadly i really dislike the combat in this one compared to the first one. No fun weapons or special blueprints aswell, so i don't see myself keep playing this one like i did with the first game
This is the most accurate title to EVER be made, you'll go from dropkicking enemies off rooftops with your buddies to being forced to talk to unintresting NPC's even though one of them can't even speak, and hell, maybe none of them will be speaking if you get the silent NPC glitch that happens 50/50 on some scenes on PS5. Or maybe a door will not be able to be opened, you'll be in an infinite death loop, or your friends won't be able to join you unless they restart their wifi, but then when you go back into the city free roam you have the time of your life.
I’ve not laughed this hard in so long. I’m so glad I’ve played through this game already, I think that just made it funnier since I’ve done or experienced 99% of the bugs you have
I think zanny and friends should get into TheHunter: Call of the Wild. It's an open map hunting game with 9 different 6 sq mi maps. It has co op and stuff. I love and want to see some major streamers/TH-camrs play it

Admit it Zan Man, even if it's not their game, Ubisoft won't let you leave For Honor.
