At this point, I shouldn’t be surprised, but Josh’s goofball persona often makes me forget how truly talented he is as a chef. He’s great! And Emily is a hoot and I love her!
As chaotic as Josh is, you can really tell that he’s a proper chef and that he knows his stuff. From his habit of tasting everything (and him encouraging his guests to also taste things along with him), to his vast knowledge of cuisines and cookery from all over the world (a white man saying he cooks proper Filipino adobo all the time... colour me impressed), to his impressive asbestos hands (seriously... HOW), Mythical is so so lucky to have him.
Yes I look up to him as someone who wants to go to culinary school he was the one who finally made me realize my true passion for culinary/ understanding flavor profiles. I haven’t found a program yet but I’m getting some basic books to learn. He’s soooo smart when it comes to executing playful exquisite recipes
as I was watching this, I was thinking the same thing. A lot of jokes, a lot of manufactored chaos, but when you pay attention to details a lot of knowledge thrown out. It's the Hedy Lamar effect.

If it helps in the context of calling an adult master, you have to understand that you are not calling him/her YOUR master, you are simply recognizing them as a master of the martial art in particular as you would a doctor.

I got to say this is one of the most entertaining food shows I have seen. So real. All the stuff that happens in a restaurant or production kitchen without all the cursing! All of the innuendos are in place thanks to Josh and his mind!

People seem to think synesthesia is akin to hallucinating or having some kid of psychedelic experience. More often than not, things just have an association with no logical reason behind it. For example, the number 6 is red and female, nobody can tell me otherwise.
I really think that either Rhett or Link should be a third, impartial taste tester at the end of the episode to judge whether the fancifying is worth the cost or not. Especially Rhett, who is most definitely Josh's best friend in the world and appears in a lot of picture together with Josh and not Link.
