    I'm curious that you used standoffs for the motherboard fan instead of a shroud or duct of the same height to ensure that most of the air still came from outside.

    Good work, I might try some of these upgrades myself

    Very interesting upgrade. I’m curious, how did you manage to bend the pla in your box design. Can you recommend a video about this or how tall do you give to the part that bends. Every time I try to do it it break 😞

    Nice video! I’m may buy this printer for some architecture. Do you know how fast can this printer goes with decent quality ? And with Creality Sonic Pad may be it could also help with speed and quality? If you get one would be nice to make a video.

      I haven't done too much to push the speed on this printer. Even at the stock speed it sometimes struggles with quality, but this is usually due to random issues with the slicing software. Unfortunately I think the slicer is the weakest part of this printer.

      I just bought the sonic pad for CR-30, unfortunately, I didn't understand how to make a very accurate printing, and also it looks like not support using creality slicer for doing slicer so I just used creality print as my slicer.

    Curious if you ever dealt with layer shifting on the Creality CR-30

    Is this a good printer to have for a beginner? I own a Prusa MK4 that is the only experience I have with 3D printers. I am thinking of buying a CR-30 for some production work

      I've had pretty good experience with this printer printing out of the box, but I did have a couple nozzle clogs that ruined a few prints. I changed to a new nozzle and changed to PTFE capricorn tubing which helped solve this. The other challenge has been the software. Currently Creality has their own custom slicer software to support this printer which is not as stable as current slicing software. Occasionally strange artifacts will show up in the slicer, or sometimes models will refuse to slice all together. Everything else about the printer has been pretty solid!

      wall line count: 4
      T/B thickness1.0mm
      Top layers: 5
      Btm layers: 3
      Infill density: 20%
      Infill pattern: triangles
      material: PLA

    Did the tube upgrade solve the previous issues?

    • @DesktopInventions
      @DesktopInventions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes so far I haven’t had any filament jams during any longer prints. I think it was likely from the extra junk near the nozzle from a poorly cut Bowden tube.

    Is it possible to print PA-CF on this printer? :)

    • @DesktopInventions
      @DesktopInventions  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes I believe so, although I personally haven't don it. Just make sure to upgrade to a hardened nozzle as carbon fiber filament tends to be more abrasive and wear out nozzles faster.

    Just curious why didn’t you make it direct drive?

    • @DesktopInventions
      @DesktopInventions  ปีที่แล้ว

      it's on the list haha. Didn't have time for this video. Printing head re-design, direct drive upgrade, and more in the future. Any recommendations for a direct drive or one you'd' like to see? I'm currently using the orbiter V2.0 on my Ender 3 printer.

    The power supply muffler is badly mounted. You are now blowing the hot air back into the intake…

      Smeared? That sounds strange. Maybe try cleaning the nozzle or changing the filament
