The piloting of the deck was really top notch in both games they streamed. That and taking a deck that plans to hover at 3 cards a turn in such a fast aggro meta shows the understanding they had of their deck, meta, matchup and board state. Nice!
Don't forget he gave himself two 2ks to defend with if he ultimately decided to use luffys ability to then draw 2 cards at the end of turn with ivankov ability.
I feel like if I was that Ivankov player then my opponent would have dropped a 5c luffy and swung unblockable for 11k. But then again, I am quite unlucky

Why did he trash ivankov when he attacked with Luffy?
Luffy has to trash 2 cards from hand in order to bounce the 4 cost and swing at the nami. Ivankov being one of the two cards.
