I’m a 26 year old single man and I want to be married but cant find a wife, and I really want to have a family. Is struggling with women an indication that I have a calling to the priesthood? I have had countless talking stages with women and one failed toxic relationship just this year, and im worried I will never find the right woman. I have no interest in the priesthood or religious life or being a permanent bachelor. Been praying to meet my future wife for years but my prayers seem useless. Everyone I know is already in a relationship or engaged and they’re younger than me. I have strong sexual desires that are not sinful, but they’re painful because they’re unfulfilled. Im starting to believe that if God wanted me to find someone special, it would have happened by now. Im tired of hearing “God’s timing” and “Gods plan” when im just constantly lonely and sad. God doesn’t care that I want a family, let alone a good woman. God would rather have me be depressed and wishing I got married every day instead of actually being married. I do my best to stay physically active. I run 20 miles a week and lift weights. Im worried that God doesn’t have anyone for me.
I definitely feel called out by this which is a good thing I suppose. I am mostly unemployed at the moment outside of some sporadic part-time work, and some days am not sure where to turn. I have a lot of shame associated with my situation and unfortunately I can get stuck there quite easily.
Please pray for me. I’m doing my hardest to be the man that God calls me to be. I’ve been struggling, the harder I tried the stronger the temptations and the harder I fall. Every time I broke through, the more intense the temptations that I can’t bear. This has made it hard for me to form genuine relationship with women that I’m interested in. Again I implore to my brothers and sisters out there to pray for me. Mary, holy mother of God. Pray for us!
Hey, if it's been an addiction from since young or even teenage years, then it's totally fine to seek therapy. God doesn't expect the impossible from us; you need to sort this out with a professional. Healing takes time. Relying on God's grace is very important here, and the key aspect of overcoming is _by praying right at the moment of extreme temptation, when things holy are repulsive to you._ Doing sports and seeking new activities helped people overcome.

The devil would want us to quit improving ourselves. I've tried online dating to initiating contact to men I like in person and nothing has worked. I almost wanna give up, but right now I'm taking a break and trying to lose more weight. The problem I see though, is that I see fat women or ugly/unattractive women with a good looking guy all the time... so maybe it's just by chance or God's blessing... I dunno. I ain't giving up, but I just don't care that much anymore. I'm tired of passive men who want me to be some perfect magazine model, I'm tired of the betas and fake Catholics who don't agree with everything the church teaches.
Yeah dont bother with someone who doesnt even agree with the dogma. Keep getting in better shape. Not just for male attraction (which is important) but for dicipline building and health.
Dating is pointless endeavor nowadays. Don't waste your time entertaining those who will take everything from you when their "feelings" dictate otherwise.
