I think the guitar is right on man, also. The base and chcas,I would love to be in their group!!!! Always did, from back in the day, witchy!!!!!! Yeah man rock on,blessed be to you
Going on 52 here....I remember "Fire Woman" & "Sweet Soul Sister",....but I am just now tuning into some of their other music. Wow......really like this one...and I never realized how sexy Ian was & is....Love TH-cam!!!
Perfecto! This version of The Witch is better than the original video or any other video I've seen. The band is tight, perfect timing, Ian is really on his game and Billy as always is in the background providng those killer riffs. This is one fabulous video and thanks for sharing.
Debra Normand I agree wholeheartedly, it’s an awesome version. I’ve never seen The Cult live . But if I did I’d love this quality of performance. So very good .
@@shanekonarson I saw them in the early years when Ian was far thinner with that long black hair. He was absolutely gorgeous, oh and wore eye make-up. Ha!! They were a great band from their beginning.
She's got what you need..What she's got is good...She's got it...She's got it good...It was this song that foretold her arrival...and when she came...It was LOUD...Like Led Zeppelin playin Rock n Roll...Like The Cult openin the show...It was LOUD

....QUESTION......Advanced Cult Trivia masters only.....(no one can answer this so far)..In the 80's... before Electric.....I received a mixed tape, it contained The Cult's version of Born to be Wild "recorded live" .....LIVE....this was history's best rendition of that song ever recorded...It was faster (tempo?) and raunchier than the cut on Electric....and live of course. It's not on any album I can find. Where did it come from?
There are quite a few live plays of BTBW and seems like all of them I've heard differ somewhat by tempo, but mainly attitude. I don't know what your idea of great or raunchier would sound like, but that album cut is pretty raunchy. What was the quality of the recording, was it perhaps a well done bootleg or something more? There are (or, at least were) some pretty rare treats around YT of them playing it live, but that time frame sounds like when they were ironing out the harder edge sound, so kinda tough to pinpoint what you have. Good luck
There was an unofficial 7" released with the audio from the "Old Grey Whistle Test" (UK live music show) in early '87. Think this might be the footage: th-cam.com/video/kmfOPxzYF1o/w-d-xo.html
Sorum was only with The Cult briefly for touring Sonic Temple before joining GnR, he was not even on any album until re-joining them again and playing on Beyond Good & Evil, which again was a rather brief time, and he only played on one album total, so it ain't like he left some big hole they struggled to fill.... lol
Hell yeah this rocks, can't believe this was 23 years ago now :D
I think this is the best cult song of all time. The energy is amazing.
Resurrection Joe, too !
Yeah, it's good.
But it's not Firewoman, or She Sells Sanctuary.
@@surfclimbcycle …or Wild Hearted Son…or Conquistador…
Defenitly, one of the best songs, but not the best.
Hard to say which's the best.
I finally found someone who shares my views
Ian and Billy ~ Classic
Who pays the devil ? I say who rides the devil ? - I took a while to understand = WITCHY -Ian I admire you so much, -full of energy-power.
