Such a powerful song with even more powerful lyrics. It's more than claiming your own isolation and more than a middle finger to the groups you find yourself ostracised from. I don't wanna belong to anyone!
It's a kind of time travel. Great song, beautiful video. Congratulations to the band, producers and video makers. I'm glad to have discovered you while I am still living in Dublin. I hope I can see you around. Cheers!!!
Great song. I'm amazed with all the comparisons being made, no-one has mentioned Echo and the Bunnymen , especially A Show of Strength and Over the Wall off Heaven up Here. The drumming style in particular.
This is clearly inspired by that scene in breakfast at Tiffany's when Aubrey Hepburns character says that people don't belong to people, you can really hear the influence
@@andrewerickson9560 when I posted the comment almost all the other comments were saying how the song was "clearly influenced" by x or y band, and it was annoying af so I decided to make fun of the phrase format everyone was using
I'm old. So, I often find myself thinking about what band(s) or song(s) a new song reminds me of. This, for me, has a definite The Church sound... Grian's vocals and the guitars.
So excited for the new album
Such a powerful song with even more powerful lyrics. It's more than claiming your own isolation and more than a middle finger to the groups you find yourself ostracised from. I don't wanna belong to anyone!
Fav fontaines tune, I'm fucking glad theres bands that make music like this still 💘
I'm in love with Grian's thick Irish accent💚
These guys are the new Joy Division in a way. Absolutely! Fontaines DC are great!! I see room for a fantastic carreer here, let's see.
Saw this band on Glastonbury - got my attention & there’s no going back.
It's a kind of time travel. Great song, beautiful video.
Congratulations to the band, producers and video makers.
I'm glad to have discovered you while I am still living in Dublin.
I hope I can see you around. Cheers!!!
I'm obsessed with this song, awesome!
I didn't know people were still making music. Thanks Lads!
both the new singles have been fantastic, these boys are well on the right track
This drives me from start till the end.Absolutely brilliant!
Great song. I'm amazed with all the comparisons being made, no-one has mentioned Echo and the Bunnymen , especially A Show of Strength and Over the Wall off Heaven up Here. The drumming style in particular.
I agree, its has the same vibe as Echo in that album, which is very good
spot on with this comment, these lads have promise.
Yes I thought echo what is it?
Great song i like it very much the video is also great with the sea beach and the ships it`s like here on the north sea coast.❣👍
This is shaping up to be album of the year lads... ❤
Favourite song of the decade
Joy division vibes, I guess the cycle is about to start again. 🎧🎵🎶
Great band but non extinct in a few years seems to be the trend decent band comes out and just dissappear s
The Fall + The Smiths
Yeah, no one else has ever done anything like this in the last thirty years.
@@jlidz nah they've got what it takes 👍👍
It reminds me of when joy Division morphed into new order .they have what it takes to get big
Einer der besten Songs der letzten Jahre......
This is clearly inspired by that scene in breakfast at Tiffany's when Aubrey Hepburns character says that people don't belong to people, you can really hear the influence
You must be joking right?
@@andrewerickson9560 when I posted the comment almost all the other comments were saying how the song was "clearly influenced" by x or y band, and it was annoying af so I decided to make fun of the phrase format everyone was using
I'm old. So, I often find myself thinking about what band(s) or song(s) a new song reminds me of. This, for me, has a definite The Church sound... Grian's vocals and the guitars.
I keep thinking these can’t get better.. and they always do
Great track again, reminds me of needle in the hay by Elliott Smith
Best band in the world today, tomorrow and the next century!
MASTERPIECE!!!
Cannot get enough of this tune. One of the top tracks in recent times.
