I love how SNK upped the ante with the huge sprites, huge backgrounds and dynamic sprite scaling in AOF2. It's like a "Come ahead if you think you're hard enough!" taunt to Capcom :-) Love it! Keep up the awesome work!
One cannot overstate the superb graphics with zoom effect in these times. Even if I never was a great AoF fan, but SamSho and King of Fighters were out of this world. NeoGeo compared with other home consoles, and even in the arcades.
Yeah the 16 bit ports to SNES and Sega Genesis always fell flat because the sprite scaling was normally the first thing to go and that was what set neo geo apart from Capcom in the arcades at the time
