Thanks a lot for the video! I have one ongoing worriy with all these cameras and systems. What is the actual and usable range of the cameras to the hub? All systems like I tried the cameras never have enough range to connect to the hub unless they are very near. I have a farm house where the cameras outside are all very far away from each other and to the hub and it all basically never works. I am yet to find ONE wireless camera security system that actually has enough wifi signal to reliability work under long distances unless they are old fashion wired systems.
The range is limited to what 2.4Ghz will cover which varies if it has to pass through walls it will be less. In my case the furthest away camera to the homebase is around 250m. I would say on a good day about 350m before the signal is too low to stream 4k and you have to use FHD or HD on live preview. It your case the best would be the eufy security solar 4G LTE S330 cam that doesn't need a network as it uses sim cards.
Sure for consumer level it's fine. Now if I had a shop, I would be after indoor wired units running at least 30 FPS, of site backup and not 15 FPS that these run.
Point about the base station: If you wire it, you can have continuous recording, but you CAN'T use it as an extender for the cameras. If you go wireless with the base station, it will extend your camera ranges (necessary in my case), but will not do continuous recording (event only).
We are thankfully okay, it's been raining almost everyday for the last 2 weeks and often very heavy but Denia got off lightly compared to some villages around Valencia and the entrance to Valencia about 100km from us. Thanks for asking.
Hey Chris, do you have any S340? I need to get a setup for my home and Im not sure if this model would get enough direct sunlight under the roof where i have to place it
I have it yes and reviewed it here th-cam.com/video/y06xsBBID-Q/w-d-xo.html I have it in a spot that doesn't get a huge amount of direct sunlight and so far since my review I have yet to charge it. It only gets 1-2 hours a day.
Definitely better than average bank security cameras
Oh defiantly and that night footage is so good. I'm going to end up replacing some of the older 2k models I have with these.
@@TechtabletsYeah you should! The f/1.0 aperture sounds very promising.
I lot better than I was expecting
@@Techtabletspl😢😊😊
@@MedhaniBadseth You okay?!
oh jesus the annoying bots straight away... great job youtube! Btw didn't notice! But congrats on half a million subs mate!!!!!
Yes just removing them now so damn annoy they do nothing to stop them! Thanks, a very slow 500k lol only 11 years haha but still thankful for that!
@Techtablets hahaha 🤣 yeah it takes time to be honest so you get less products 🤣
Very slow yeah.
Nice mate, thanks for the video.
No problem 👍
Thanks for the review! Wondering if it is 24/7 continuous recording?
Hi, not it's not it's only recording when it detects what you set it to see. But 24/7 recording would kill the battery quick.

Wifi can be easily jammed/DoSed, weird that some security products have wireless connectivity only
Well with this product I don't see why they would make it wired. It's all about being able to put in the sun somewhere and in the rain no issues.
@@Techtablets Yeah, that's the point - convenient but insecure. Might work for some use cases though.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of this as in my testing connected the homebase using LAN. But thank you for pointing it out.
Does this record 24/7?
Chris are you and the whanau ok? Wasn't there a big flood near your neck of woods?

Does it have the advanced Blur Technology for Big Foot sightings?
It sure does! 😅 As soon as it sees them it will blur and makes sure it's not captured
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍👌
Did you sell your Vivo x200 ? You don't talk about it anymore
No been waiting for firmware updates and will include it with some comparisons with the SD 8 Elite I think
It's a great phone but the camera still needs some software tweaks
Interesting.
Thanks for watching
This or the Reolink Go PT Ultra Chris?
I haven't tired that brand sorry.
eufy...Maybe the worst possible "secuirty" cameras to buy they were compromised. Poor security.
Been fixed now
that was fixed ages ago you been under a rock
