You frackin' rule, dooood!!! I love it!!! (When I voted, the "yes" bar was, like, 98% full).
The reason why everything sounds weird to you? Might be because they probably LOADED you up with Benzos for your Lasik. An ex of mine got it done, and they knocked him out for I think at least 36 hours after, plus the meds they gave him for the surgery. If you're not used to that stuff, you're probably still kinda ripped🤣!
His surgery happened in the mid-2000's though, when they were still handing out benzos like candy. They gave him like, 10 of the little house shaped ones. When I went to go pick him up, we were sitting outside waiting for a cab, because I didn't drive back then. He started telling me about the surgery, even though I was begging him to please stop talking about it. I got so squicked out that I had to put my head between my knees, and will myself not to be sick. I came THISCLOSE to passing out; my ears were ringing, I couldn't hear anything, I was starting to grey out around the corners ... He got all pissed at me, because he was extremely abusive. "I'm the one who just had surgery! You're not supposed to be feeling sick!! Stand up!!"
"If I stand up, I'm going to fall on my face right in front of your doctor's office. Please just don't speak for a bit, and I'll be fine."
It was awful.
Luckily, he couldn't kick my ass because he couldn't open his eyes, and he actually gave me one of his KO pills that night, which was awesome. The 2 day break I had while he was all buzzed, sleeping in a darkened room, was excellent, too.

As someone with hair so long I'm constantly closing my car door and sitting on it - we brush and cry and brush and cry and then get compliments all day...and more brushing and crying
So glad you didn’t pile on lots of unnecessary makeup. I always watch your tutorials because you will always find a way to do a look using the “less is more” technique. I don’t like wearing tons of foundation and eye makeup to get the look I want. Honestly, I rock a Morticia look almost everyday. (I have dark hair so wig isn’t necessary. ) Using your facial anatomy and shading instead of covering up everything and going over a ton of foundation is 🔥‼️

This is kind of random, but I feel like I need to share it here because this brings up old memories lol.
I had a job working at a jewelry store in a mall like 6-8 years ago, and I had a horrible time there. I got bullied by some of the other staff (it was like a clique of 3-4 people including the boss), and I remember them always calling me Morticia/Elvira as a way to make fun of the way that I looked (although I always thought both Morticia and Elvira were super hot, they were very obviously not trying to compliment me) and so it's kind of gratifying in a way to see the number of people here that also love Morticia's look.
This look is amazing and I need to recreate it for nostaligia's sake. I don't have Morticia's super long black hair anymore, but still 😍

Called me an Elvira wannabe. In high school I was relentlessly hounded because I had boobs. And I was skinny. As much as I hated having a big chest, I sure as heck told a girl a time or two that bullied me “ Your boyfriend sure didn’t mind my boobs or ask your boyfriend if I stuffed my bra”……..I was daily accused of stuffing my bra 😂. she put the dark eyeshadow way above the lid so I think it could work even on hooded eyes because you don't have to follow your natural crease

OMG Thank God for this tutorial Alex .. I have a fancy dress 50th b'day party tomorrow night and myself and my hubbie are going as Morticia and Gomez ... my nerves are shattered at the thoughts of re-creating the make-up look, but this tutorial will really help .. I hadn't even thought of the contouring and just assumed that I would need to use heavy black liner and black/grey shadows .. this look ROCKS on you. Am gonna try and re-create with my absolute crap blending skills and amateur artistry .. not to mention the fact that it will be my first time EVER trying to contour!! An in-depth video explaining different kinds of brushes, shapes, angles to apply it at (especially face/base/concealer brushes and powder vs cream products if that makes sense... since you've done some videos on eye brushes before) would be awesome because idk why but sometimes i feel like I'm not using my brushes correctly even though i have so many...

Hi, Alex! This was super fun! It was so cool to see the artistry involved in creating a look. You’re always asking what kind of content we want… I think a lot of us are here due to being olive skin tone. I would love to see you do more on Light olive skin and what colors work best. More on color theory and cool olive versus warm olive and what colors to use for each. I don’t want too much on product reviews, but a few tips on certain products that work color wise or how to choose similar products would be very helpful.

I'm looking for some advise on a contour stick. I have such fair cool toned skin that most contours are too warm for me, the eyeshadow stick you used looks great but as you wanted a stronger look, I couldn't tell if it blends down naturally. Is this one worth trying? And does anyone have any other suggestions for a cool toned contour stick. The NYX stick in fair runs a bit too warm but I can get away with it.
