Y'all are way behind the curve on this. Anyone that was paying attention during the last decade already knew that studio politics was destroying X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man. The blame is not all on Disney. Fox and Sony deserve just as much blame, because they were constantly pushing out garbage movies just to maintain their hold on those properties, while refusing to sell them back to Marvel, where they belonged. Sony is still doing this with the side Spider-Man characters. That's why I was so glad Disney bought Fox to put an end to some of this nonsense. Now Marvel will be happy to include X-Men and Fantastic Four in anything they can. Now they will bring them back. Saying that we should be worried about what they do with them next is just because you want to hate on Disney when, in reality, now that they are back under Marvel's control, Marvel will do them right. I mean, we've already seen evidence of that with X-Men 97.
My mutant power would likely be slowing down time at will. it's like quicksilvers ability, but the world slows when I use my abilities, fitting my lazy attitude, willing too take things slowly.
Hi!!! I thought in honor of the new A Quiet Place movie coming out, maybe you guys could make a theory about how loud you have to be in a quiet place before one of the aliens hears you.
@FilmTheory number one, I can't reply to ya'lls comment because the reply button is gone but more importantly. My mutant ability would be "Adaptation". Basically, I would constantly adapt to any situation and phenomenon. For example, if someone shoots me I'll adapt defenses against bullets and adapt a means of recovering from the damage I've taken. If someone blasts me with heat-vision of a fireball, I'll adapt defenses against thermal energy. If I get tossed into a lake and start drowning I'll adapt a means of breathing underwater. If I get chucked into space I'll adapt a means of moving through space as well as a defenses against the cold and I'll adapt away my need to breath. If I starve for long enough I'll adapt away my need to eat. If I die then I'll adapt a means of coming back to life. If my enemy has a strong defense then I'll adapt a means of hurting them. For the younger generation and for the anime fans, Think Mahoraga from Jujutsu Kaisen but mixed with Doomsday from DC comics and juiced up on steroids. As a side note, my physical human body won't ever look all that different, if at all, unless one of my adaptations requires a change to my physical appearance.

This was a missed opportunity to also talk about Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. The franchise was known to have X-Men in it. It basically started as an X-Men fighting game with Children Of the Atom and later X-Men Vs Street Fighter. But to me that... is pretty unrealistic, even if Infinite did great in sales, the budget and return investment were mostly going towards the licensing. It would've had to outdo Capcom's Monster Hunter series to commit for that long.
7:10 You left out a big detail. Disney OWNS 21st Century Fox and its assets. And this has been since 2019.

Justice For ForgetMeNot
Justice for who?
The goa..... who
Oh…. that guy..?
Who?
Who's that? I can't seem to remember.
When he said that the inhumans and the x-men were feared and hated because they were born different something they didn't have control over, i got intense My Hero Academia flashbacks especially with Toga as well as Spinner and how they were shunned by society for being born different i would honestly love an x-men x MHA crossover comic or anime that would be awesome
This isn’t a theory, it’s just a history lesson. Everybody who has any kind of behind the scenes knowledge on movies and/or comics already knows this.
So? I don't inhale Marvel and learned a lot. Also, I appreciated the messaging at the end of the video.
@@Tatman2TheResQ it's more like if you were an xmen fan you were pretty much aware of this and disney's creep moves against them.

The theory channels' viewers are known to watch videos on a large range of topics they might not already know about. Like me. I didn't know any of this. So it's perfect for that section of the audience
I came here for this comment. How is it a theory? It’s history.
I think Lee is doing a great job of being a host 👍

Was on a X-men marathon awhile ago… I realise the One Piece Devil fruit powers = X-men.
Devil fruit powers I believe were originally randomised, from very vague and anonymous fruit designs to how odd powers were. Only to be retconn and every devil fruit power is “fate”.
6:48 I love that the name of the movie was 'Spaceballs'
Classic movie
Mel Brooks movies are fantastic.
If you've never seen it, you should. A beautiful send-up of _Star Wars_ and other space opera movies that still holds up today.
The cat that walks through walls.
Kitty Pryde and Wolverine was my favorite limited series
Is it just me or has it been a while since I last saw a film theory.
I had been wondering about the decline of XMen and all that...and this video has been super helpful to understand what's been going on. Thank you for another great, insightful video!
0:21 I know he's not listed under editors for this episode, but did Lee himself edit the first little bit of the episode? It feels like his style to me, the flow!
15:37 I agree with on all the levels they did not execute the X-men name properly with Wanda just killing them like that 😭🙏

My mutation is that whenever I tell a lie, I have a very high chance of that lie will come true, but someone has to believe the lie
My mutant power would likely be slowing down time at will. it's like quicksilvers ability, but the world slows when I use my abilities, fitting my lazy attitude, willing too take things slowly.
90s X-Men was my life

Film Theory Idea: Batman Analog Horror by Siltrics.
Hi!!! I thought in honor of the new A Quiet Place movie coming out, maybe you guys could make a theory about how loud you have to be in a quiet place before one of the aliens hears you.
breathing underwater with feet that looks like fish tails and gills
6:05 he was right in the end
Exactly
YOOOOO film theory was on a crusade against disney with this video. BRAVO 👏 👏 👏 I really enjoyed this episode.
Ok, the idea of the last 2 episodes are directly connected to what's happening in our world.
Explaining how wars work and what war crimes is an obvious one, I did'nt realize this one until you showed the barrier then it clicked.
I appreciate how you try to make us aware of this without directly telling us, which is kinda of the point of this channel, to figure things out, to uncover the truth.
And the fact you always come so close to actually spilling out what your referring shows how you actually care.
Thank you
1:45 my superpower would be the ability to make small inconveniences for example I could make it so your eye would twitch or become vaguely blurry for no reason, sneeze in super inconvenient moments, cause you to step on a Lego brick in places where there should not be Lego bricks, get stuck in traffic even if you're flying, swimming, or traveling in any other way, and probably my most powerful move of all... Stubbing your toe and then just before it fully heals stubbing it again

My favorite mutant powers:
01. Mind reading/telepathy (Professor Charles Xavier)
02. Teleportation (Nightcrawler)
03. Time travel
04. Copies the knowledge and skills of anyone around him
05. Copies the powers and abilities of anyone they touched (Rouge)

I'm still mad that Wolverine & The X-Men got cancelled after one season when something as trash as Super Hero Squad got two. Wolverine & The X-Men literally had everything going for it. It had a great story, a plot twist that started from the first episode, a new twist on Logan's past, Emma Frost trying to rizz up Scott Summers, Magneto playing 4D chess with Senator Kelly it had it all. And it was produced by Kevin Feige under the Marvel Studios banner. If X-Men the animated series got a revival as a Disney+ original series, Wolverine & The X-Men should get the same treatment.

This was a missed opportunity to also talk about Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. The franchise was known to have X-Men in it. It basically started as an X-Men fighting game with Children Of the Atom and later X-Men Vs Street Fighter. But when Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite was in development, Capcom was forced to cut all characters that aren't part of the MCU (Venom being an exception, because it was planned to have him in the MCU at some point). That's why the roster feels so off in the game.

"It's Fun to Dunk on Disney" You mean is profitable for TH-cam creators to "dunk on Disney"
That's the rage bait culture war political grift is to attack Disney
Are you saying that Disney hasn't earned any backlash, or just that it's exaggerated?
Disney has definite criticism to be had, their choices have been questionable, mostly due to the endless churning of content needed to fuel disney plus. But yes there is literally a grifter industry out there.
Lee however isn't one them.

If I had a mutant power it'd be immortality/replaceable bodies with a shared consciousness
I'm suicidal with schizophrenia so having the ability to come back in a replica of my own body next to my own corpse sounds like a good contingency plan if I were ever to loose control
What ruined the X-Men was Wolverine, suddenly everything was centred around him and the X-Men became background characters. I read the comics, and even in the X-Men cartoon the first "billing" wasn’t Wolverine. But, as your video proved, everything now is about Wolverine and that’s what everyone cares about.
So… the X-Men are just kind of pointless! ✌️
I miss matpat 😥
They tried and partially succeeded in "killing" star wars, but not this luckily

Since this is a Theory episode about X-Men and totally unrelated to what the theory’s about: As a huge Nightcrawler fan, he does not get enough screen time in any of the shows except for X-Men Evolution, which ages down so many of the characters, including him. I demand more of the Fuzzy Elf whose BAMFportation is so iconic.
