does the corruption glitch damage your switch or your file in any way, or is it purely visual? is there a way to de-corrupt the graphics after performing the glitch?

I just got clipped through a wall in the octo expansion this morning, I don't really remember where I pulled it off but it was by staying close to a wall and wait for a flying stomping face thingy to come and try to stomp you, since there will be no space to be pushed back after the impact, you get clipped through the wall and ultimately fall to your doom
i know this video was posted 3 years ago but when i tried to do the screen corruption glitch it didn't work. and i have WAY too many friends on my switch (around 80) so did nintendo patch this glitch? i know it has something to do with RAM overflow but its still possible.
So on world 3, in the octoseeker level, you can expand a sponge and sit in it while an octoseeker is chasing u. If it tries to splat u, you'll phase through it??? And if u jump u teleport on top???????? try it!
How to do the weird inverted color glitch without any effort : 1. Go to settings 2. Go to color themes 3. Press diverted color things 4. Join splatoon 2 5. You did it (I'll probably edit this later )

Another glitch is in the Octo Expansion in level G10 E07 you can activate a checkpoint, by heading under it.
Thats not a glitch, thats intended. The checkpoints are activated by some checkpoint zone thing. Not just standing on it.
