QUICK NOTE: uploaded a version of today's vid with a mistake: Precision Instrument can be ramped up via head or bodyshots but can ONLY dish out extra damage via headshots. So even LESS forgiving than mentioned here. The damage stacks are as follows: X1 (+4.17%): 50 / 83 X2 (+8.33%): 50 / 86.6 X3 (+12.5%): 50 / 90 X4 (+16.67%) 50 / 93 X5 (+20.83%): 50 / 96.6 X6 (+25%): 50 / 100 This means the NEAR-GUARANTEED 2B/1H kill happens at Precision Instrument Level SIX, which should only kill up to 9 Resil. Heal clip doesn’t seem good, until you stack it with marksman’s dodge and wormhusk :) I think Bungie knew they couldn’t give more health back on the perk because of this combo, but definitely keep a heal clip roll in case they buff it or of you’re a wormy boy.
I personally think the dueling synergy of Fragile Focus/EotS is pretty dope. Extra range until shields are broken and then bonus handling and aim assist when they break. Solid one-two combo
Fragile Focus and Eye of the Storm is the way to go, at least how I would. Fragile is legitimately really good, it functions the same as eye of the storm but in Reverse. But with new hammer you can have BOTH, which means throughout you entire health and shield bar your gun will feel very good the entire time(and might even stack it Eye procs on low shields)
Interesting thought - fragile focus and eye of the storm both work very well together because at the start of the engagement fragile focus is up and towards the end of a dual eye of the storm then gets proc’d
3:31 - I love to see another Keep Away/Opening Shot Round Robin enjoyer. Kill Clip only works to get me killed because when it's active I end up pushing into places I have no business being just to try to get the spicy 2-tap and not feel like it's wasted.
I just started playing trials. I KNOW I will never go flawless, but I do go to get the Pinnicle. Happy you can get weapon drops beyond that. I'm just happy enough if I can get 15 engrams in a season and if I can get high enough in the season, I know I will get an IH to drop and then I can spend my engrams on that.
@@Ednoxious1 - Thank you, but I do know my limits. Maybe if I get lucky it could happen once, but nothing I'll ever do regularly. While people playing against me are happy noobs are playing, my teammates less so. I've gotten some hate mail, but I guess PvP is just that way.

The more wins you have, the faster you get to 50. If I go with a Ferocity card, it seems to keep the wins between characters, so if I have 5 wins and switch characters, another win counts more than resetting it to 1. At least that is how it worked in the past for me. I did Mercy last time and wins did not transfer and that is when I got lucky to get to 6. What is cool, is I split that between characters, I got to the pinnacle on my hunter at 3 wins after several resets and switched to my warlock and got a couple more. 2 weekends ago i farmed 68 Igneous as a solo in Trials. Tested ALL the rolls for 150 kills each so I have a "feel" for every possible roll. All im gonna say is i deleted every single one keepin only 2 roll. 2nd from best being Flutted barrel / ricochet / Keep away / eye of the storm, range MW and my ABSOLUTE BEST roll with 1.340 kills on it already especially on solar Warlock is flutted barrel / richochet / rapid hit / incadecened / range MW along with the right aspects etc it does everythin right, stops revives, pauses recovery times and bring ignitions and chaos on entire teams peakshootin you from same corner. By far my No1 hc IN THE ENTIRETY OF D2 for my liking.
I’ve only gotten one igneous hammer ever. I got it after going flawless and I’ve never had to grind for another one. It was a near perfect roll at one point but hand cannon changes make it not as good as it used to be. Though it still destroys people and it outguns most god roll igneous hammer users I fight against. Full bore, light mag, quickdraw, and with the option of snapshot or celerity along with a range masterwork. It doesn’t need ricochet rounds range or the stability provided by smallbore for how I play pvp. With quickdraw and snapshot it magnetized onto peoples heads before they can ready their gun.
U are sleeping on fragile focus. Great perk. U never wanna challenge someone if ur shield is broken, and since it’s a hc and u Peak shoot, it pairs perfectly. If ur shield is broken and the enemy pushed u, it doesn’t matter anyways. But yes. I’d prefer keep away too. But it’s a close second for me.
I just got back into destiny after more than a year, and I'm so sad I'm not at an acceptable power level for trials. I got the adept hammer a long time ago and it's consistently been my favorite legendary hand cannon. Good luck to all those hunting this week!
@@elliotbell4868 thnk you, I’ve always wanted a igneous ever since it came out back in season of the chosen, I had an ok roll back then but I deleted after their nerf and dethronation, honestly I deeply regretted deleting it
I hate to say it but rangefinder is a massive cope perk now, yes it extends the aim assist cone by 10% but it also narrows it, so it will be harder to hit your shots except at very long range. Only viable perks in that column for me are keep away and maybe fragile focus, but with igneous's high base range ff doesn't really help as much as it does on something like DFA.
So hear me out, fragile focus and eye of the storm. When your shields are up, you have fragile focus active. When your shields are down, you have eye of the storm active. So you basically have 100% up time on some insane bonuses. Just something I thought about but idk if it's practical.
Just for reference, round robin with kc will usually still 2 tap 100 resil bc of the nanotech tracer rockets which need 3(?) headshots to activate, so if you kill someone with 2 head 1 body, activate kc, and land the 2 tap, the tracer rockets will clean up 99% of the time. It might sound really specific but it happens more than you’d think, and you can also 1 head 1 body someone with low resil but that’s less common.
I still think the better igneous hammer is the previously issued one, because it can roll celerity, one of my old adepts gets 75 range 80 handling with fluted barrel
in pve cure gives a bit more health, and since it procs cure around you, you can proc fragments like ember of benevolence which got a massive stealth buff this season, boosting ability regen by 400% in pve. A PvE igenous for me would be heal clip + incan for all the subclass synergy
It's very situational, but one thing I love Incandescent for in Crucible is as a solar titan, killing anybody effected by scorch drops a sunspot. So having more ways to apply scorch to nearby enemies is super helpful sometimes. I know it's not gonna be useful to everybody's playstyle but it fits mine like a glove so I'll give it a go on Igneous :D
If you want a good one of these, especially if you are farming the non-adept version make sure to do a lot of farming thing season. Engram focusing for non-adept trials gear will cost 5 engrams next season not 1.
Me too! Corkscrew, high cal, encore, and celerity. 78 range and 75 handling, plus the encore buffs when it procs. Such a shame they didnt add the new enlightened action perk. I could have seen that being great on igneous just like celerity is.
but frenzy isn’t just a dmg buff though and tricon x2 isn’t realistic to keep up without certain builds. great vid though im excited for keep away or rapid hit with either eye of the storm or moving target and range masterwork or handling.
I have a roll with Rapid Hit and Moving Target, range masterwork. It’s so incredibly consistent, 80 range with above 40 stability and handling makes it feel closer to a 140 in terms of overall feel.
I don't think he's suggesting tricorn specifically for x2, x1 is still a good damage buff with the ability to be higher if you can lock down an ability kill within the timeframe, which he mentions
I use a hammer with Fragile Focus and Precision instrument / Range masterwork. I am usually always getting a buff on my shots, and for that reason the perk combination is worth it.
This weekend was hell, I did get a few nice rolls on the adept version though, what do you guys think is the best one? 1. corkscrew/polygonal , ricochet, fragile focus, and eye of the storm/golden tricorn masterwork range (i like this one it ends up with 40 handling/68 stability/80 range so fragile focus gives me 100 until shields gone) 2. hammer forged, light mag, keep away, and moving target/frenzy masterwork reload (great perks on this one but the stability is kinda low 38 without adept mod) 3. smallborn, flared, encore, opening shot/moving target masterwork range Or my old adept roll from way back in the day that has corkscrew, ricochet, quickdraw, elemental capacitor, range masterwork (hits 90 range with 78 stability on void or 100 range with 68 stab)
So one thing about precision instrument is that you can hit anywhere on a target to start getting stacks, but those stacks only buff precision damage which you should be hitting Anyway. I've seen a lot of people misunderstand how this perk works
so my best 2 drops was Small bore -Light mag -Keep away-moving target master work handling the second one was Small bore-light mag -rapid hit-eye of storm
Just a reminder, Heal Clip can proc Ember of Benevolence and generate ability energy for all 3 of your abilities. As long as you got allies, it's like having Classy Contender, Demolitionist, and Pugilist that can heal you (if not only a little bit). Quite fun in GMs when I'm not annihilating everything with my nuclear Ammit AR2.
On console I'm hoping to get: Smallbore, ricochet rounds, keep away, moving target with a stability masterwork. I'll put adept stability on it. With Keep Away active: 90 range (around 39m) 72 stability 63 reload speed 79 aim assist (even more with targeting mods) This is going to be the consistency king.
Couple things, 1: High cal has no extra flinch on agr. frames and 2: Precision Instrument only deals extra precision damage, not overall damage, so on a HC than can already 2 head 1 body, it doesn't really do anything
It actually does because it doesn’t need precision damage to scale so it can 2 body 1 head with the perk. I got it already and it has been super forgiving
I have a corkscrew, rico round, stab mw, quickdraw, snapshot and im addicted the handling. I think im just gonna keep rolling with the only one honestly even though it has no origin trait and its not adept
i hope they add an option to add a second perk in the same row for crafted weapons. don’t want to craft another round robin just to occasionally play with kill clip.
Wins were rough this weekend with all the illegal weapons but I did get two 5/5 adept rolls with keep away/eots and rapid hit/opening shot or moving target
I have an old adept roll with max range (though with ricochet rounds and not accurized) that has elemental capacitor and killing wind. My biggest gripe with Igneous Hammer was its reload, but since I main Solar Warlock in PvP, Elemental Capacitor makes my igneous hammer feel like a 150 in terms of handling and reload. Kinda sad to not see either of those perks make a return.
That fact that people still overlook elemental capacitor on Round Robin is crazy to me. Arc titan is literally one of the top subclasses so its literally 50 handling for free (55 if enhanced)
Opening shot gets underrated sometimes because people forget how much it helps the accuracy cone growth while dueling. It's a bigger deal on 140s, but still nice on 120s if you get caught out or catch someone out of position. EOTS is probably still better though because it works better peak shooting
I'm still rocking my rapid hit and celerity(or rampage), old school Iggy Ham. With celerity selected I'm rocking 90 range, 48 stability, 60 handling, and 63 reload. Even with the reissue, IDK if I'll find one that feels better
I'm satisfied with my old roll, basically high stats, optimized 80 range with killing wind, and 40 extra points from Celerity. Okay I've seen so many people's Igneous with that shader, BUT WHAT IS IT. I've tried so hard to find it with no luck
As far as I know, Heal clip heals you for 64HP in PvE which is basically a Recuperation Orb pickup amount of health. I don't see Heal Clip as a problem. But that perk on a Hand cannon is as helpful as a Voltshot HC. I'm looking at you, Combined Action.
Per the Destiny Data Compendium, it's 60 in PVE and 30 in PVP on a 1sec cooldown (not that the cooldown matters here). By way of comparison, T10 recovery gets your full health bar back from 1 in 6 seconds, so roughly 33.33 hp/s (I say roughly because it's not evenly distributed). This means that proccing Heal Clip after a kill should save slightly under a second on your recovery time--while also being somewhat frontloaded, which helps if you're caught out before you're full. By way of comparison, T9 recovery is 0.6s slower, T8 recovery is another 0.4s slower than that, so Heal Clip is a bit like having another tier or two of recovery stat after a kill. I don't know that I'd spend an entire weapon perk on that, but it's not nothing, either.
Heal Clip is worse because Solar 3.0 keyword Cure is nerfed in PVP activities + Gambit. Its main use case is for proccing Ember of Benevolence without needing an ability.
So pissed off I didn't get one last time round! Gunna be getting sweaty this weekend!! Smallbore/Hammer-Forged, Ricochet Rounds, Keep Away/Rapid Hit, Opening Shot/Precision Instrument, Stability MW for PVP. Smallbore/Hammer-Forged, Ricochet Rounds, Keep Away/Rapid Hit, Incandescent w/Stability MW for PVE. I shall be a happy chappy if I can get even somewhat close haha! Hi-Cal, AP Rounds, Encore, Opening Shot, potentially Golden Tricorn. Honestly wouldn't complain 😄
I'm looking for keep away + eye of the storm with ricochet rounds, fluted barrel, range masterwork, and adept range. That'll be a great hand cannon, but if I'm honest, I'm not sure if I'll like it more than the old Igneous I already have. I loooooove celerity on my old one because it's a huge chunk of stats that 120s are lacking the most, plus all the benefits of celerity if you're last alive. Also, New Monarchy Allegiance is the best shader on Igneous, don't even @ me.
That’s what I’m afraid of, that the new IG won’t be as good as my old one. 85 range, 50 stability, and 75 handling with high caliber rounds. I like keep away and eye of the storm but I just don’t know if I’ll like it more than the old one.
I just started playing on PC, and nothing lets me hit my shots more than a 90 range keep away igneous hammer, keep away just does something to this gun to make it work so much better

i hope they add an option to add a second perk in the same row for crafted weapons. don’t want to craft another round robin just to occasionally play with kill clip.
I'll stick with my old Quickdraw/Celery roll. Veggies are good for you.
Shoutout to the warlock who tried to befriend fallout before tragicly eating 12 guage from that hunter. Truly a D2 moment.
I found that fragile focus and eye of the storm, they work hand in hand and its super fun
I'm glad they brought it back, but I'm sticking with my old rapid elemental cap roll
That Abraham Lincoln quote had me roiling 😂😂
That warlock at 1:15 😂
That fact that people still overlook elemental capacitor on Round Robin is crazy to me. Arc titan is literally one of the top subclasses so its literally 50 handling for free (55 if enhanced)
Of course the guy named Sparky is talking about arc
Arc titan? 🤢🤮
@@memereview305 man, I forgot that was even my username, this is like the only platform I still use this name on lol
Bold of you to assume Arc titans are good enough to use hand cannons
Opening shot gets underrated sometimes because people forget how much it helps the accuracy cone growth while dueling. It's a bigger deal on 140s, but still nice on 120s if you get caught out or catch someone out of position.
EOTS is probably still better though because it works better peak shooting
Heal clip also triggers ember of benevolence thats one of the main reasons I use it.
This has been one of the vintage FP videos in a long time.. Funny and insightful
You might be sleeping on the fragile focus eye of the storm combo. One of them is always active
+20 range from fragile is great
eternal slumber
Mf really said he doesn't want two perks to work at the same time lmao
I'm still rocking my rapid hit and celerity(or rampage), old school Iggy Ham. With celerity selected I'm rocking 90 range, 48 stability, 60 handling, and 63 reload. Even with the reissue, IDK if I'll find one that feels better
A gun I'll never have, but damned if I'm not watching the video to learn what I'm missing lol
Fallout, hand over that strand build. It looks fun
I'm satisfied with my old roll, basically high stats, optimized 80 range with killing wind, and 40 extra points from Celerity.
Okay I've seen so many people's Igneous with that shader, BUT WHAT IS IT. I've tried so hard to find it with no luck
I’ve been trying 140s again recently, but even kept confidence doesn’t feel good to me, it’s that 120 life for me so I’m excited
Quickdraw + Moving Target on my old one. Quickdraw still good these days?
I don't have an Adept Hammer but I have been using a Keep Away/Eye of the Storm roll shoots like a dream
I didn't realise Abraham Lincoln knew so much about Destiny, impressive!
Just wondering did you get celerity on your old adept hammer? cos I’ve been using mine and at 70 handling it’s by far my favourite feeling hc atm
Can't get it outside trials right?
Correct, it is a trials weapon
@@tony1990 tyyyy
RIP whoever is trying to get that this week with that crazy bug happening right now
Losing QuickDraw for slickdraw… feelsbadman
As far as I know, Heal clip heals you for 64HP in PvE which is basically a Recuperation Orb pickup amount of health.
I don't see Heal Clip as a problem. But that perk on a Hand cannon is as helpful as a Voltshot HC. I'm looking at you, Combined Action.
Dont dis voltshot on a handcannon, my crafted Frenzy+Voltshot Posterity slapped even before the handcannon buff
@@guber9339180 volt shot is fine. 120 volt shot… no thanks
@@life-destiny1196 In PVE, this is also a way to proc Ember of Benevolence since it heals your allies.
My old Iggy is overflow / rampage - you can't get that anymore? Man I love that thing.
rip my hopes for an adept igneous this week....damn crafted gun bug :l
speaking of 120s, what are your thoughts on Malediction?
Kept my old IH adept with small bore/ricochet, rapid hit, moving target :)
That rank 16 Ígneos is a pretty good role
Heal clip with work crutch might be nice
For pve players like myself i would reccomend Heal clip, Incandescent or Rapid hit, Incandescent. Frenzy is always viable as well (:
Heal Clip is worse because Solar 3.0 keyword Cure is nerfed in PVP activities + Gambit. Its main use case is for proccing Ember of Benevolence without needing an ability.
Maybe the adept targeting doesnt affect your Iggy since you have rapid hit?
Have a adept one with high cal - quickdraw - moving target, it feels so good, when i use HC it’s my go to 👌
whats the difference between the new one and the old one with similar perks?
Abraham Lincoln quote is the best.
I think you read precision instrument wrong. all damage increases headshot damage it doesn't just proc off of headshots.
My new one a while back was keep away golden tricorn haven't really used it though
My last igneus adept has rapit hit, celerity with 97 range. This new one will just never compare.
I want fluted, ricochet, keep away, moving target/golden tricorn. handling mw, adept range
I would like to point out that Precision Instrument is not activated by head shots!!!!! Meaning you get extra precision damage for almost nothing!
Fallout and his never ending love affair with Igneous Hammer.
Heal Clip is doubled in pve btw
Honest Abe never lied
I'm looking for keep away + eye of the storm with ricochet rounds, fluted barrel, range masterwork, and adept range. That'll be a great hand cannon, but if I'm honest, I'm not sure if I'll like it more than the old Igneous I already have. I loooooove celerity on my old one because it's a huge chunk of stats that 120s are lacking the most, plus all the benefits of celerity if you're last alive. Also, New Monarchy Allegiance is the best shader on Igneous, don't even @ me.
Try new monarchy diamonds shader I matches with the reticle the wings are white and it’s perfect
That’s what I’m afraid of, that the new IG won’t be as good as my old one. 85 range, 50 stability, and 75 handling with high caliber rounds.
I like keep away and eye of the storm but I just don’t know if I’ll like it more than the old one.
I just checked it and your role with a handling masterwork is my God role and is really close to my old one, just celerity…it’s just too Good
@@PastorJummp celerity is too good, nothing can replace it, but keep away opening shot max handling and ophidian can help
Does Tricorn x1 + radiant change anything? More forgiveness/ less shots?
Tricorne x1 and Radiant will do 101 damage to the head. Time to bust out Ember of Empyrean and Throwing Knife
I have a 90 range base iggy with rapid hit golden tricorn and it feels amazing, made me put on athrys’ again
Warden's Law & IIGNEOUS HAMMER at the same week. Like why? Cant farm the 2 efficiently now
1:18 The betrayal
Sadly without celerity it just ain’t hitting the same as OG igneous :(
Bummed that they removed Ecap from this igneous. It’s hard to put my roll with it down.
The best hand cannon are our fists.
I still have my old Igneous Hammer with Outlaw + Rampage and I will kill anyone who dare to take it away from me.
If I don't need to go flawless, how can I get it? I'm new to Osiris...
I just started playing on PC, and nothing lets me hit my shots more than a 90 range keep away igneous hammer, keep away just does something to this gun to make it work so much better
Whens the midnight coup Adept releasing
