I think the closest we came to having a good Sting heel run was The Main Event Mafia. At least with that one they had it where Sting turned into to what he didn’t like about WCW was the past stars refusing to even step aside to the future stars. I don’t even recall them giving a reason for this one on tv. Was he still upset at what Hogan did 3 years prior and didn’t wanna forgive him? Was he mad that Hogan was again taking his spot as WCW’s top guy? WHAT WAS THE REASON?!
I'm reminded of Sting's 'heel turn' in TNA and I think that was better executed because he never really turned heel. It seemed like he did, he did heelish things, but there was a reason behind it. Can't wait for you to cover BFG 2010.
Fun Fact: This would be the second PPV Jim Duggan had to fill in for Marcus Bagwell as Duggan also filled in for Bagwell at the Great American Bash 1995 against Pitbull Pittman. I know the circumstances were different but thought it was funny.
If ya wanna turn someone heel, make sure that he has a good reason to be a heel instead of making him go heel just for the heck of it! Lookin at ya, Mr Wight!
The First Family. The only time that stable was relevant was in Memphis before Jimmy Hart left for the WWF. And this version wasn’t even close to that one
War Games could’ve been Sting, Lex Luger DPP and Sid vs Hogan, Bret, Goldberg and Benoit Or they could’ve thought outside of the box and did The Flithy Animals vs The Revolution
Bishoff turned WCW around then they took what made that turn around away from Bishoff and made him the fall guy for a company that was now pg which was what was making WWE fail till they took on WCW's attitude that made then succeed
I think WarGames would've been Bret, Hogan, Sting and Goldberg vs Sid and The Jersey Triad, Kanyon would've ate the submission with either Bret, Sting, or........well Hogan himself

Sting turning heel in North Carolina went over like a fart in church like the Road Warriors eleven years earlier
Every time any company tried turning Sting heel it didn't work out
@@WeAreProWrestling It’s like they wanted us to cheer him more!

He did turn heel at BFG 2008 when the Main Event Mafia formed

The calf implants
And it's something Duggan replaced Bagwell twice on PPV

EXACTLY.

Some wrestlers just wasnt meant to be heels and Sting was one of them

You forgot that Barbarian is a member of the WCW Version of the First Family.
By the way I rename them the Jimmy Family in my rebookings of WCW 1999
I still don't understand how Sting suddenly got do jacked in 1999. Either he hopped back on some supplements, or those pictures are photo-shopped.
Do you think Kaz Hayashi should had hold the WCW Cruiserweight Belt at some point in time with his time in WCW
Which WCW heel turn was worse; Sting or Goldberg?
Sting
Though both were terrible
It was awesome
I think WarGames would've been Bret, Hogan, Sting and Goldberg vs Sid and The Jersey Triad, Kanyon would've ate the submission with either Bret, Sting, or........well Hogan himself
That would have been a very interesting War Games Match
Hey James, would you say that Sting’s Heel Turn here was almost as bad as when Stone Cold Steve Austin did in 2001?
Austin's was the worst of all time
Sting's was among them
If there was a wargames in 1999 tell you this james i don't know
Probably would've been Sting, Hogan, Bret, Goldberg maybe Luger or Benoit vs. The Jersey Triad, Rick and Sid
Why the early release
Family stuff tomorrow
Uh james why is this not on tomorrow
Posted on Twitter & Instagram
Got a big family gathering tomorrow, so I decided to make it live today
@@WeAreProWrestling ok
Sting turning heel was just as bad as Goldberg turning heel at the Great American Bash the following year.
Yes
