I remember being so excited at the end of this PPV....because 1 my 2 older siblings and I had tickets to Monday Night Nitro the following evening in Phoenix Arizona and 2 it appeared to me that Goldberg was once again a double champion i was PUMPED ...BUT i missed the part on commentary explaining that the match between Goldberg and Sting was non title. ...even though If I recall correctly Goldberg was announced as Champion?...and we didnt end up going to Nitro.....shitty couple of days
Question now I do 1. Who the hell was responsible to change alex wright to berlyn 2. James why did you hate calling him the total package I loved it for decades since watching him 3. Don't you think medusa was hot in that bikini 4. Did you think this was a double turn in the goldberg vs sid match 5. Which heels did you like of ddp early 90's or late 90's
1. Whoever was booking at the time of his debut(not Russo) 2. I like the name "The Total Package" as a nickname, but not as his name name; it's always Lex Luger to me
This show was bad so many bad matches and bad booking decisions it's just baffling to watch it because the talent was there but the booking killed it. I did love goldberg vs sid that was literally the best match on that show and no one even expected it
@@WeAreProWrestling Fair enough. Think they both lasted the same length of time: through only one PPV (Halloween Havoc 99 for Sting; Bash at the Beach 00 for Goldberg), then sort of pseudo ended during the build-up to the following PPV (Mayhem 99 for Sting; New Blood Rising for Goldberg) then "officially" ended "once and for all" on said following PPV.
I have a few questions for you James. 1. Do you think it’s fair to call this a full on Russo show? Technically, Russo didn’t start writing the shows until the go home show to HH 99. 2. Speaking of Russo, why do you think Russo’s first WCW Nitro was the go home show to HH 99? Wouldn’t it make more sense for him to write the shows AFTER HH? 3. We all know that David Flair was a HORRIBLE wrestler. But, do you think his psycho character was the best thing for him? 4. Out of all the members of the Radicalz, who should’ve been a World Champion in 98 or 99? 5. What were your thoughts on the racism lawsuit that was filed against WCW around this time?
WCW Halloween Havoc 1999 is bad show. Eddie Guerrero vs Saturn is a good match. Goldberg vs Sid Vicious is a very good match. It's one of the best matches of either man's career. For two guys who "can't work" to have a "good match" they delivered. DDP vs Ric Flair is a decent match.

If they had gone further with Sting's heel run, who could be have gone against?
@@bluethunder250 Bret & Benoit; but glad the heel run was over shortly after this show
Hogan lays down for Sting without any rhyme or reason.
In the immortal words of James Rolfe…
WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?!
This shows that even the greatest talent ever can't overcome bad booking cause this show bombed, and not in a good way.
Russo is a turd.
good video

I'm Going To Talk About This On My 2nd Channel On Halloween Day So Yeah
Oh dear lord. Not this one.
Today’s WWE & AEW Make Halloween Havoc 1999 Look Like Gold./Make It Look Like WWE 1999.

Which was the better Halloween Havoc between 98, 99 and 2000?
1998
@@WeAreProWrestling I Agree 98 Havoc Had Goldberg & DDP So There I Like Halloween Havoc 1998 So There I Know It Had Hogan Warror 2 But Still
This show is terrible, but I LOVE Goldberg vs. Sid. Just a vicious heavyweight brawl.
Did Goldberg headlined more Halloween Havoc PPV?
He Main Evented Halloween Havoc's 1998, 1999, & 2000
Why they couldn't build a feud between Goldberg and Sting after WCW Halloween Havoc 99?
Because they turned Sting babyface right after this show
Because Russo didn't have McMahon or Patterson anymore
This show was bad so many bad matches and bad booking decisions it's just baffling to watch it because the talent was there but the booking killed it. I did love goldberg vs sid that was literally the best match on that show and no one even expected it
Hey James your thoughts on heel Sting?? like it or not
Heel Sting was bad
He was always better as a babyface
I agree with James... I didn't want to boo Sting...
@@LeeDaKine89 The night they turned him heel the fans cheered him anyways
Which one had the worse, more pointless heel turn in the dying days of WCW: Sting or Goldberg?
Call it a tie; because both were so pointless & both didn't last long either

2. I have no clue why
3. Yes; he actually did alright as the psycho character
4. Benoit

When did WCW reach their point of no return in their war with WWE?
Summer of 1999
White hummer
Bret Hart tapping out as a babyface? That’s a no no.
And of all things...to a Half Crab
Goldberg winning WCW World Title only to be vacated in a pointless manner? What was the point of that?
He never won the title since it was a non-title match
I don't care what anyone says I liked the show. Last HH with the cool entrance as 2000 was the cookie cutter one.
Halloween Havoc sets were always the coolest ones(except for 2000)
@@WeAreProWrestling what happened with Goldbergs us title run I forgot he had the belt.
@@JWR01979 He lost the belt the very next night on Nitro to Bret Hart in the 1st Round of the World Title Tournament

This show sucked (most of WCW’s PPV’s in 1999 sucked frankly). And it was a big warning about what was to come with Vince Russo in charge.
This show was horrible and easily one of the worse PPV's ever.
The show sucked
