Ive watched a tone of these videos and this is one of the more realistic finishes i've seen! Well done. I personally like the thickness. If you want to reduce the weight you could do drop edges by sinking a 1 inch board thats slightly smaller then your form so its hollow bellow. Ive also head about people replacing some aggregate with pumice, perilite or vermiculite. The more you add the more the strength you lose but might be fine depending on the application. Anyway thanks for making this video!

Mesh shouldn't go in middle.... this is where the least forces interact.. closer to surfaces is better... the actual mesh you used was perfect though... close to no9 gauge. wire

It looks like you made the base of your form the exact same size as the base of the table base, and then put the sides of the form on the rope of the base of the form when you assembled it all. Or did you mean to leave some of the wood of the stand for the sable exposed on the ends?

Do you think chain link fence is okay to use as a mesh reinforcement for this stuff, I just took one down and it’s not rusted and feel like it could be salvaged for this, I also heard that using only Portland type 3 produces a black product that resembles quartz

No chain link fence does not work as reinforcement.

Concrete sealer would probably be a little better. Penetration is better. Just a tip. Home Depot has it.

@@DanielMorrison7 ok thank you 😊 I'm going to try getting it. I dont have home depot in my country. Do you think a wood varnish would work.

What kind of PAINT? WHY DIDN'T YOU INCLUDE YOUR ADD THE MARBLE EFFECT INTO THE VIDEO? THAT WAS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS VIDEO. The concret molding is a since. You should have wiped the frame with WD 40 to keep the cement from possibly sticking.

Hey sorry i was unprepared for the video. I used home depot bought concrete stain liquid, and ran veins on the form the milomene, and poured concrete on top. Just mix the concrete thick, not runny so it dont wash the veins around.

@@DanielMorrison7 Looks great! So in the video you said you used paint and concrete stain for the veins? Would you recomend one over the other and if you used paint what type of paint did you use? Thanks for the idea.

If you want to raise all your base probably shoe moulding. cut your doors, door jambs and trim 2 inches lol. Not to mention trying to cut it for install. Just buy tile or something for floors. it will save you tons of labor and time
