    First, your skin looks so radiance that Dallas must be agreeing with you! I am considering moving from Chicago to a warmer state and this review is helping me with my final decision. The cold weather and shoveling snow for 4-6 months a year is exhausting and we only get like 2 -3 months of good weather a year. IF am going to leave my home city, it must have diversity, and good food, with a strong black community. Glad that you covered all relative points

    I already have a job and work remote so I won’t need to job search when I get there but I notice a lot of people who make these videos about Dallas say that they don’t beat around the bush the job search, it moves fast and people don’t waste your trine dragging it along. Cuties like dc for example that’s not the case. The job search can take forever.

    I moved here from NOLA back in 2016. I needed a fresh start for me and my kids and I fell in love with Dallas! Being born and raised in a majority black city like New Orleans, I had to get used to a less rich culture like Dallas. The night life in Dallas is not as big as New Orleans night life scene for sure 😂. I dated a lot when I first moved here and I had a good time. It’s a variety of men here and I date many races not just black 😏 so it was nice! I been settled in a relationship sense 2017 here. But yes Dallas is a nice city to start over in and really grow in life and achieve a lot 💜

      I did the same thing young lady( I’m 52 also we still young),got the hell up out of Cali. I too am a empty nester. It lifted a huge weight off my shoulder moving from Cali to Dallas (actually Plano). Plenty of jobs, lots of entertainment, and the only food I don’t get with out here is Mexican food. Mostly TexMex and I can’t. Other than that just make sure you have good transportation. I suggest a visit first for at least a week so you can get a feel for Dallas. Great opportunities in the DFW. Dallas is very black but what is not understood when people move here is that Dallas used to be a segregated City so most of the white stay in the north and blacks stayed in the south. South Dallas is where you will find a heavy population of blacks. Southern Dallas also has majority-black suburbs that are nice to live in with average homes to multimillion-dollar homes. Lancaster, cedarhill and DeSoto Texas are all majority-black suburbs in Southern Dallas.

    You’re funny, the men in Dallas ain’t really given what the suppose to give either but probably better than Memphis. I live in Dallas for the past ten years. I like Houston or Austin better as far as things to do. As far as living I would say the Ft.Worth area. When living in North Dallas/uptown area I stayed having to check white men. I got so tired of it I was happy to move from that area. There’s a lot of racism especially when you don’t act the way “they” think you should act.

    The reason why they have a lot of events that exclude black people in Dallas is because the black people in Dallas are mostly ghetto. Loud obnoxious don't know how to dress. Everybody don't do hip hop. That's why when they plan something they try to exclude the black people because a lot of us don't know how to act. I live in Dallas for 20 years I'm from Atlanta I do not like Dallas Texas I'm stuck. The people can be quite boring. They worry about every little thing that don't even matter. And the streets are so rough with potholes. You have to hunt for a smooth Street. Most of the African Americans I talk to that are from Dallas a very close-minded they're not international. So mostly the people I hang around are from other countries I can relate better.

      Hey there, so from the people who are from Dallas comments, they’ve been saying that you have to go to certain areas in Dallas to see more of the population.

    • @labaroncharles1958
      @labaroncharles1958 ปีที่แล้ว

      They do. What most people don't understand about Dallas when they move here is that it used to be segregated. So you use to have white in the North and the blacks have the South. North Dallas has become more integrated in the last 30 years so all kind of people are there. When people move to Dallas they move on the Northside where there is a small population of blacks and people think there are no blacks in Dallas. Go south of downtown you will see all the black people you want to see.
