I dry them out on the old jeeps bonnet in the garden :p. Even old PCs are worth having, right back to the 90s there's still 100s of great games you can run. Always worth saving.. 8:17 - 8:45 is the best part imho. Handling power supplies is only dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. So for some people its better they leave the power supply alone. As shown here its perfectly fine. The only thing I would do different is: I would've at least partly disassemble it first to see better whats going on inside and wouldn't've throw the fans into the ultra sonic cleaner. Their might be ball bearings in them which are not happy without some grease and geting new grease in them is more work than cleaning them with a cloth. I don't know but I guess Greg wouldn't've been sued for showing how to wash your power supply on his channel if someone is going to be hurt doing so...

The #1 thing that makes you different from others, you're realistic. You don't use the best of the best parts, you use what you find and what you have for the best value. That #1 difference makes you #1.
Something to keep in mind is that the power supply tester simply verifies that the power supply is still working and putting out the correct voltages. It doesn't forecast power supply health so a PSU that tests good a month ago could fail in a month due to capacitors already being on the way out.
A PSU with bad caps may already show some signs of voltage regulation issues so although you are correct, it should mean the PSU should be pretty healthy at that point. Bad caps usually fail fairly slowly before they finally pop, so you'd see some bad voltage a fair way out.
Makes me wish that I hadn't have sold my GTX 1060 and RX 570 cheap right before the mining surge a few years ago. I still have a GTX 1070 and another RX 570 though. My oldest daughter is using a HD6970 but she isn't playing games as demanding as my younger daughter which is using the RX 570. They're both running i7 3770, 16GB DDR3-1600 as a base for their PCs.

vaping near my PC's never gave it much of a smell for me, but the number one way you can tell if a PC has been living in a bedroom is deodorant!!!!!! man that shit gets soooooooooo strong when you hit that computer with a compressor and make a dust cloud, it's like spraying it from the can right in your mouth lol
some people don't know how to clean a computer or just think there's no need I've already received several computers with a simple problem because the person didn't know it was something like cleaning the cooler.
@@Hakan89 if you keep a computer clean regularly and make sure you don’t keep it in a place where it will accumulate excessive dust like in a carpeted floor it doesn’t take long blow out a computer with a can of compressed air. I take 10 to 15 minutes to clean my desktops at least once a month to a month and a half. That level of care will help make sure your computer runs for a very long time.
You know, it's pretty easy to make clean water, rain water is very clean, just collect it through a filter and that's free electronics cleaning water. The output of an AC also creates clean water. The best way to disperse water is with ethanol closer to 100% the better and it's dirt cheap to either make or buy.
There is NO WAY that I would do that type of cleaning with a PSU or fans. Some PSUs have cardboard or paper in them to direct airflow and as part of the transformers. A lot of PC fans also have unsealed bearings, if you get water in them it can significantly reduce their life. The other stuff is fine as long as you dry it out.
Also, don't just blast fans with compressed air like this, always prevent the blades from spinning when cleaning them. It harms the bearings, and since a motor can act as an generator, it can induce voltage which can damage the motors elecronic or whatever it is attached to. I always lock them in place with toothpicks.

Very nice I have cleaned with ultrasonic cleaner many times before, however be careful of the PSU.
