I was thinking that too. In many ways it's a no-brainer, especially in a road legal class. That sweet F20 up front, drive to the back... And to be fair, if you've got money to burn, you could get some really trick bits for these.

Nah you just gotta keep your hand off of it. So you dont bog the vehicle down. Maybe it's too high but trust me you would rather have a high one than a low one. Its more responsive. Tbh its just in a awkward spot not to high tho
yes totally normal, the s2000 has a high compression motor due to that it burns a lot of oil , and that’s why u MUST keep it topped with oil occasionally or just make sure it is full.
@@Rinue618: Except Porsches & Nissan GTR's do it under acceleration & the smoke is black due to over rich fuelling at low revs so that when they are running at normal race speed the fuelling becomes spot on, anything that smokes like a train on deceleration only has oil blow-by issues.
The setup sounds like it is making more low end torque, prob more power too but I think you can tell he is a bit uncertain of the rear grip in the car with the added torque. If you watch his steering input, he wants 0 rear end drift, so it's making him be a tad bit easier on the throttle coming into corners and exiting them as well. The geometry mite not be dialed in for that course.
So s2k's are a bit all over the place price wise. I have 2 right now, a 2000, and a 2002. My 2000, I just bought for 13k with 125k miles. it's clean. 10 years ago I paid 12,800 or so for the 2002 with 80 or 90k miles. obv if it wasn't beat on...the car is worth it, there's nothing that drives like these cars. you have to spend 20k plus for a Elise or Cayman s. Miatas aren't bad, but drive these back to back. And the S2k is better in 90 percent of the boxes.

actually the stock S2000 is as rigid as most of the coupe's from that time (and later) due to the high X-bone monocoque chassis.
I have a particular affinity for the S2000. After all, there is one in my garage right now.

No, it's not normal. Since it appears to smoke the worst under deceleration I'd venture it needs a new set of valve seals.
