    Hi, I really enjoy your videos. How do you fertilize using the Leucheza pots? In this video you watered the pon/soil and I thought after the 3-4 month period you only add water thru the port. Thanks

    • @Mycityplants
      @Mycityplants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Connie,
      If you are already using the self-watering method/reservoir, you may simply mix the fertilizer wit water and add the mixture into the reservoir. Thank you for watching 🌱

    Hi Juliet!! Thank you for your videos!!
    Can I use this fertilizer after 6 to 8 months in lechuza pon ? (My substrate is composed of lechuza pon only) Should I put the fertilizer at every max fill of my lechuza planters during the growing season or should I skip for example every 2 max fills of the planters? And then as we see in your video when you water the plant with your fertilizer, you do not fill the tank. Is there a reason?Thank you so much !!

    • @Mycityplants
      @Mycityplants  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! You may use Plant food to feed your plants. Good Dirt is my fave mycityplants.shop/products/all-purpose-fertilizer
      You can add this plant food to the reservoir each time it gets re-filled.
      *** 1 teaspoon per gallon of water.
      If using fertilizer, I would use it once every 2nd watering.
      In this video I was showing how to do it in general, not just for self-watering planters.
      So, if you water your plant via the reservoir, add plant food/fertilizer ti the reservoir or dilute it in water and then pour the mixture into the reservoir.
      Green Cheers!

      Hi! Good Dirt Plant Food will not kill/burn your plants. It can even be used all year round.
      But I still would recommend to give your plants a break from feeding, even when sung this product.

      Unfortunately, Peace lilies can not be propagated via leaf or stem cuttings, but they can easily be propagated by division :)

    Can you please clarify. You said only to fertilize non dormant plants in the winter, but yet in your wrap up at the end you said you fertilize every other watering.

    • @Naeou
      @Naeou 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fertilize non dormant plants in the winter every other watering. Fall/Winter weather does not allow the plant to photosynthesize as much as in Spring/Summer weather, therefore you fertilize less because it won’t be able to process the fertilizer at the same speed as it would in Summer/Spring

    • @Mycityplants
      @Mycityplants  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi and thank you for watching! 🌱 @theonerealfriend
      I fertilize all plants in Spring/Summer (each time I water).
      During winter, I only feed plants (every other watering or less) that are showing me some signs of stress and having a hard time going through this time of the year.
      NYC winters are no fun :)
      I hope this answers your question.
      Green Cheers!

      Hi Laly,
      I was just demonstrated how to apply fertilizer to potted plants .
      Not everyone have plants potted in Lechuza self-watering pots. If your plant is in Lechuza pot, then yes, you should add as much water as needed to fill up the reservoir.
      Thank you for watching 🌱
