    Tb-3 should be in S class. Because "everybody needs a 303"

      Correct. I love my little yellow 303

    The crave is incredible value for money, i got it for 150 eur. A tear. The filter is really good, even tho the highpass isnt that good.
    Their modules are okay, little issues like their system100m noise source has a low aplitude! So for sample and hold i always need another noise source like from the crave which is annoying. The quality is eh, they wont age well, the "colorplate" of a knob already just fell off. (system100m, arp2600). B for them.

    I see you like filthy sounds. My list would have the 2600, Pro-800, Model D and 2500 Eurorack modules in the “A” Tier. Different strokes for different folks. Thank goodness we have affordable variety!

      I don't get his arguments for some stuff, like the "red" sidepanels on the Deepmind....???????

    Have you played any of these synths to back up your list?

      I'd say probably no

      Great question - had he, then the Deepmind would be A for the sound and the way it teaches sound design

    As an owner of the behringer wasp. That one was great if you like to CONSTANTLY be out of tune.

    Bro put all the popular ones in bottom tiers when the Model D, Poly D, Deepmind and Neutron are all S tier in terms of audio quality to price considering they are the most used in rigs now. What???

    I like Behringer and it's strategy, for providing us with affordable gear. I've got few devices, my favorite id Deepmind.

    the crave is a pain in the ass but with the patches and price it really is underrated. i would say the rest are accurate, i love the k2

    • @muppetpaster
      @muppetpaster 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      K2 is VERY VERY VERY close to original, own them both (MS20 from '79 and a "mini")

    Did this go out before the Pro 800? Because since the firmware update, that could be the best Behringer synth.
    PS I don’t give a shit about design and colour over what it sounds like and what it can do.

    I have 3 Behringers. 2600 orange, Pro 1 and TD3(303 clone). Oh I use them in my music. I do use a sampler to sample tones so that I can layer layer and layer.

    You can't really assess these synths on looks, price and market niche alone. The sound, build quality, I/O options and functionality are kinda important too. I've owned eleven of the products you featured here and they are all pretty good. It just depends how well they fit in with your setup and musical style. My favourite is the DeepMind 12.

    Not sure about either the Odyssey being in the D list. If the rationale is that Korg already make the Odyssey, it's worth remembering that (a) the Behringer one is about a quarter of the price of the Korg, and (b) the Behringer one also has a sequencer and on-board effects. I have one and it's a staple of my setup. The Model D being there is a surprise, too, although I can't vouch for that one personally.
    On the issue of "quality", I can't fault any of the Behringer stuff I have except the RD-6 (which also presumably applies to the TD-3) which is weirdly plasticky when all the rest of their stuff is really solidly built, especially the VC-340 which has outstanding build quality at that price point.
    Shame you couldn't put the new Pro-800 in the list, too; I guess that's just too recent. (Spoiler alert: it's an "S".)

      The Odyssey is brilliant. He must be making a list without actually playing any of them?

      Behringer also has full size keys unlike the Korg

  • @muppetpaster
    @muppetpaster 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I cannot rank them.....Each has it's own place....2600 is a little less OG then the K2 and CAT....K2 and CAT are closer to original...2600 LED's can be dimmed so I don't get your comment on them.
    I own 12 different B synths by now...And love them all.

  • @HrWisch

    While I see where you're coming from, my personal list would be much different. I don't care if the original is still available or if a competitor offers a similar synth. I only look at the thing and its price to performance ratio. And that puts synths like the Odyssey, Poly D and MonoPoly at least into the A Tier. The Model D may look off and it should have been sized like the later modules (88 Euro Rack size) to have bigger encoders. But in terms of sound that little beast delivers. That puts it at least into B Tier for me. A larger Gen 2 would be an A Tier.

    Hey man, is this your real voice or have you had it filtered or somehow processed it? You sound like Radiohead's "Fitter happier" track. Which is good if it's real, not so good if it's engineered..
