His comedy is like an acquired taste sort of sorts. Most of the time he is just making jokes for himself and he probably enjoys the silent awkward reaction. Since I started listening to the early episodes of joe Rogan I have come around on redban a lot.
Eliaser was like he healed himself on the stage by sharing the story he's ashamed of and holding on to it, he got out of stage with a completely different vibe and energy as he got in. Tony sentencing him to a normal life was a highlight of the episode and maybe this poor guy's life.
Seriously. Even if Gilly & Keeves never does another skit, it's already well worth losing out on an improved season of otherwise-trash SNL. The gods of comedy have shone upon us.
