How to Tighten the Head of Your Jewelry Hammer

As a forester, I am used to lose axes and hammers. Heat up the hammer head before banging the shaft into the table. The heating (use a hot air gun or a hair drier) will slightly expand the head, which will then get really tight when cooling again.
