Don't buy a Gregory pack. My son is thru hiking the AT with one that is falling apart and after 20 days of back and forth emails and phone calls we still do not have a replacement. He sent photos of bag and they agreed to replace it but have done nothing. Imagine being on the trail and the thing you depend on most is failing you.
At 3:42 he says, "that's one inch below the iliac", but I'm sure that he meant "one inch above the iliac" otherwise he'd be contradicting himself from his earlier statement at 2:47. I can see where the confusion would be. I also believe that if someone is a frequent backpacker, they will know instinctively to rest the belt above the iliac crest and not below it, try both ways and see which is easier/more comfortable.
Starting to dig Gregory’s
Thanks for posting this. Great info and also nice to see Wayne.
Love my Stout 45 !
I love my Baltoro 65. Fits like a glove. Hardly even know I've got 40lbs on my back packing out on a wet gnarly, forest trail..
That was amazingly helpful. I almost went and bought my son a different pack because the one he had wasn't riding correctly
Great video, much easier way to put on a pack.hip belt ends up in the correct position every time
what pack is this?
Gregory Z Backpacks...\m/
first off wayno you need Weight in the pack to fit but a combination of your idea and belt first could be the trick !
There is weight in the pack. Watch again. Were you hoping for a demonstration with a 50 lb. pack?
damn i am sold hehehe
Wayne Gregory has a body guard? Que?!

Yeah haven't had an issue with mine
there is so much background noise it's not even worth watching
It is you just have to listen and stop complaining
iliac edge should be in mid of the hip belt not on top of belt.
Listen again. At 2:47, he clearly says, "the top edge of the waist belt goes one inch above the top of the iliac"
At 3:42 he says, "that's one inch below the iliac", but I'm sure that he meant "one inch above the iliac" otherwise he'd be contradicting himself from his earlier statement at 2:47. @@californiaexplorer5836 yes. The hip belt should descend from above the waist, and not be cinched around the waist. Cinched around = serious chafing
@@shmerelize Yep, serious chafing and an undo amount of pressure on the shoulders
