Well, you don't know the circumstances. Slovakia needed to outscore other teams to get promoted and this was the last match. They didn't keep scoring out of disrespect. It was a necessity.

Another tidbit I found in the meantime, Team Canada was very much aware of the Bulgaria score and went out to teach a lesson. Shame it was on the Olympic stage.
It's a group game from a qualification tournament. They use goal differential as a tie breaker. This means you want to win each game by as many goals as possible or risk being a lower seed. By this point, Bulgaria had already lost group games 41-0, 30-1, and 39-0.
