This hack puts a lot of love into adding tons of Digimon to catch and use in the Pokemon Emerald world.
Something about hearing the pokemon start up music with the digimon logo and guilemon flashing up made me feel something special in my heart
This feels like it's going to be a special experience

yeah they were a new etemon species, probably etemon evolved but instead of turning metal, he turned somthin else

Etemon have 2 evolution that I knew, metal etemon" black metal" and king etemon"with crown"
I wish Bandai would understand that this is what we want our digimon games to be like, not the visual and auditory assault that we get with every game.
This mod takes the best from pokemon and adds the uniqueness of Digimon. A grand combo.
Right? I saw this and I was all 'oooh~'. It doesn't help that I'm techno-dumb and trying to figure out how to get to play these fanmade games with little success. Google is kinda failing me...

Okay, I think I might have jus found my Emerald Let's Play! Thanks, I was racking my brain trying to think what to do and you've jus answered that for me, I was looking to do more Digimon stuff as well, so win-win! I started on an older version of Nova Red, but I got the Final Version now, so I'm going to jus simply restart (I'd only done a Part 1 anyway, so it doesn't matter, I'd barely left Vermillion City and my Let's Play videos are only about 30-35 minutes long, so...)!

@@CasualCooper Only downside is the Let's Play for this likely won't be until at least next year, what with finishing up Final Fantasy VI Advance and then following up with Nova Red and I suddenly don't know if I want to do one inbetween, so I'm not doing two back-to-back, you know...

This game looks really fun! I only played Digimon World 1 and 2, and a few GBA titles as well. My knowledge is very limited, but I grew up loving the OG Digimon tamers and monsters. It's cool to see new types as well. Hope you have an awesome time playing the game!

This Is one of the better Digimon romhacks so I really hope you enjoy it fair warning the first gym is GRUESOME

That happened already.. pokemon infinite fusion kinda broke rom hacking , it was such an amazing game and idea i wish it was real. Use it as a spin off alt universe pokemon game and just let folk go crazy...package this with a new system and you Will have the highest grossing system ever(in a normal economy) imo

I know these games typically use earlier season digimon, but it would really be cool to have koromon do a split evolution into rather adventure agumon or savour agumon going into shineygreymon and potentially burst mode in the end.

Makes me wonder if DNA Digivolution can happen or if the form is tied to only one of the components. Like both WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon can become Omnimon.

It's sad that the fan-made project Digimon Mystery Dungeon for the NDS platform was abandoned. 😢

If you haven't seen or played Digimon Nova Red it's like this rom hack but a little more updated with lots of evolution options and secrets.
That's great, but given we already are playing PokeDuel on the channel I was more excited to try an emerald hack like this one.

@@markoroncevic303 I heard people are having trouble when they use the virtual boy emulator. I personally am using the mGBA emulator and have had no issues. Except when a character turned into two twins.

So Cooper, you mentioned something very funny around 24 minutes in. You mentioned that it was surprising that an Ice type was tanky dispite their poor resistances. That's actually the main reason Ice types are bad in the main pokemon games. Most Ice types are built to be slow and tanky but their resistances suck. So the Digimon you showed was on brand for Ice types
Yeah. Definitley fits in with ice types.
For the Ev-Iv's, I'm pretty sure Sp=Speed, Sa=Special Attack, and Sd=Special Defence.

Yuki sounds correct to me. I don't know this version of Botamon, but I do know that yuki means 'snow' in Japanese. So that makes perfect sense 👍
Yuki ends up being a really nice nickname for our Digimon.
It would be cool if the shinies were "different" digimon. Like gabumon is normal and psychmon is the shiny. Something like that
That would be cool. This game does not have shinies, but if it did your idea would be awesome.
@CasualCooper yeah I saw it didn't have them but it could be a cool way to add the variants without wasting pokedex space. Don't know what the programming difficulties would be for it but it would be neat if that was something they do
the creators first game is fire red and they seem to have the majoriity of the same pokemon, not sure if they are all the same, but so far i seen all those in the fire red version aswell
Yeah i saw a fire red version on their website when I found this one. Given we are playing Pokeduel already I chose to try out this game.
@@CasualCooper i prefer you play this one anyway, just mentioning their other game saying it seems to have all the same mons so its not worth playing both.

I don't know why the Digimon sprites disappear in the video it really bugs me
The Digimon Sprites don't have battle frames like Pokemon. Nor do they have extra animations since they are just single sprites. If that does bother you, then this mod is not going to be for you.
Digimon evolution is very non linear, Nobody knows what anything is gonna become

this first episode is so much fun now if i were to say who my favorite digimon our its gotta be agumon and shoutmon those two are so awsome espescially shoutmon who i hope cooper can find and catch as hes an awsome digimon

Started my own playthough on this myself about three days ago well I got it about a week ago but mine has glitches where it won't allow me to change moves except for the top one. Plus unless I get to the Pokemon Center it won't show me the stat gain/loss but I am enjoying it. Although POkeduel was a bit better without the glitches.
I haven't had any glitches like that. I'm sorry to hear yours is messing up.
Are you going to 100% the dex, or just the ones you really like? Cuz if you're going for the 100%, you left behind Bombmon, Yuramon and Mokumon in route 101 and 103.
given that this game doesn't have a Dexnav and I'm playing blind. I'm pretty sure I'm going to try it out catching whatever I happen to find. I do plan on leveling up lots of the little guys to at least see what rookies I may have missed in case I want them for my team.
Out of curiosity how are you playing this so smoothly everytime ive tried to play or download the game i cant learn moves without the game glitching out😅😭
according to the site people that are using visual boy are struggling. The mod works well on mGBA and i'm using a pc, so i have no clue how it would work on anything other than pc.

In terms of casual gameplay I like Digimon dusk's combat better than pokemon games, and I like that digimon has more gameplay variety between games.
Competitive pokemon is cool though.
I prefer Pokémon gameplay typically , but I do enjoy some of the variety of Digimon games
especially world 1 and next order.

This game is great since Pokemon has a really fun battle mechanic, while digimon just look and are exciting.
Question: I've tried multiple times to do this rom on my phone and every time i gave the rival the first time, i lose all sound and the game freezes when i try to save. Anyone else have issues with this or suggestion to fix?

I'm trying to play this rom hack but keep running across an issue when I try to check the summary of my digimon it's all blank. Did i miss something or are my settings messed up in some way?

@@CasualCooper Just put the frame back to number one and I can see the summary so maybe that did it?
oh. That's strange that changing the frame could do that.
@@CasualCooper nope still messed up shortly after...no clue how to fix it. Was fine for a bit but didn't change anything else and it's blank again.

Because programming every route and different way to evolve could be horrible
Every pokedex entry tells you how your Digimon will evolve if they can evolve and 90% of the ones we have seen evolve through level up like normal Pokémon. The rest are stone evolution like Pokémon

what mean by digimon battle style the games are all difernt and the show is a shonen so ofcause thats going be more weird 8n whos stronger
But games wise they do have twpses following most basic atructure rock paper scisors plus secondery in some games for elements aswell giving more complexity
You are right. A lot of the games play differently. Some of which are more complicated like Digimon World 3. A lot of them are very basic though. Plus in the non basic ones. Not very effective damage still does 80% instead of 50% making the games much easier. Though in the rock paper scissor games like cyber sleuth you do need to have a variety as not having a type advantage can or being at a disadvantage can hurt you a lot. Pokemon games just always had a really solid battle system and it suits the Digimon well.
Though I do like the speed system in Digimon games where sometimes you can attack more than once per turn.
what Emulator are you using i was using mGBA and it kept on crashing
mGBA. Haven't had a single crash. Few graphical glitches that last for like a second, but never a crash.
So... Apparently there is no backview of the digimon, what a bummer.
I'm fine with it. We got like a side ish view.
