Supposedly at the time they recorded this song, their talk show had a running gag where the one who sung this was inserting ads into the show trying to sell his car. So, that's why the song suddenly veers into a sales pitch for his Honda Civic.
Great reaction video, also interesting! Ylvis are Norwegian brothers, their last name is Ylvisåker, so that’s where their comedy/artist name came from. They often do songs together, but several songs they do mostly alone too because it suits their voice the best. Like with this one it was only Vegard Ylvisåker, but I think he was behind the lyrics too though because he is the nerdiest of them and I can totally see him pondering on this subject😂.
Nice reaction👍 Ylvis is two comedy brothers who had their own talk show, and for each episode they made a song. “The Fox” and this song was some of them. Other great songs are for example: “Jan Egeland” official video “Massachusetts” official video “Work it” official video “The cabin” official video “Intolerant” official video “Pressure” official video “Yoghurt” official video “Someone like me” official video ++
There's a new mystery to Stonehenge. The big stones came from Wales (West Wales. More like 146 miles) . But the central stone? There's only one place in the Isles where they were able to match that stone. North Scotland.
You should check out the metal version of The Fox; It's in German language, named Der Fusch. Lyrics are more or less as in English. "DDR ft. Ylvis - Der Fuchs (Live)" on the channel Rixarkivet.
No, please not that. It was never a mystery, just racists disregarding the explanation given by the natives. They said it could not possibly have been done that way by such primitive people. But they weren't primitive at all. Now it has been recreated the way the natives said it was done. By the way, Easter Island is a really terrible name. It would be like refusing to call Israel by their name, instead referring to it as Holocaustia or something. The Easter in Easter Island exterminated their culture and one of the few original written languages ever invented.
ylvis are pretty talented musicians but have always stuck to comedy and comedy music. the fox wasnt really meant to be a kids song it was their first song with the production company stargate (whos done stuff with rihanna etc etc) because they did them a favor, so they wanted to cash in on that to make the silliest song ever aka the fox. i would recomend 'jan egeland' from ylvis to react to next cus its a very fun song
its said like "ill-vis". The duo Ylvis is made up of brothers bård (taller blond guy name said like bored) and vegard (smaller curly haired guy name said like vay-guard minus the d at the end) ylvisaker. they are norwegian comedians/musicans and the fox and stonehenge were made for their talkshow
No, just no. The Norwegian Y doesn't really exist in English, the closest is the wovel in UK-english "pew" and "few" (althought the "w" makes it really hard to distinguish it, it's not an U/O-sound either). Same as in French "tu" or almost German "tschüss". Written in international phonetic alphabet, it's a front close vowel. Vegard is pronounced Veh-gahr or Veh-gahrd ( "d" is optional). The Norwegian "e" usually corresponds to IPA or like the first vowel in "beard" or cockney "bird". Bored is close enough, but the å sound is typically not as long as in bored and not necessarily pronounced with a "d" at the end. All r's are either Alveolar tap/thrills or a type of Guttural R as Bård and Vegard use themselves. You can hear them pronounce their name here: th-cam.com/video/2EsslNp4ULU/w-d-xo.html

After hearing that song I suddenly want to listen to "Fireflies"! I have absolutely no idea why!
That was truly fun and well done.
Tongue planted firmly in cheek!🤪🤘. That was what was needed. The dude went druid!✌&❤.

NORWEGIAN!! :)
It made me think they should do “Easter Island”! 🙂
Did you know there are stone bodies under the giant heads??
They were even bigger. And then someone BURIED everything but the heads. So wild
YES 🤯
It, too, would be worthy of a soul’s quest!!! 🙂

Funny. Makes me think of weird Al Yankovic.
Funny 😂 Are you familiar with the band Linkin Park? If so, have you seen the video parody of them? It's hilarious
