    Great Video and thanks for posting it. I have changed my attitude towards the importance of stretching.
    I am a regular swimmer who is been training atleast 8 sessions in a week. My muscles get tightened very often due to which I couldn't reach my peak. Any suggetions for me? It will be great if you could support me in it.
    I am training towards achieving bigger goals and these muscle stiffness is halting me from progressing better.

    How about a few leg and foot stretches? Without them I find my calves bind and the arch of my foot cramps. Swimming doesn’t really aggravate issues, it seems to be taking them out of the daily stress of standing and walking. I would especially have issues after “cross training” on land for the running parts of triathlon. I became worse as my legs became less flexible, becoming strong mass of just muscle.
    Also arch and shin stretch with feet on edge of steps. Perhaps you have better stretches for the lower body?

    For the static stretches, how many seconds/counts do we hold the pose before relaxing or turning to the other side? And how many reps? Thank you!

    • @michellec3100
      @michellec3100 ปีที่แล้ว

      He mentions 5 times breathing big in and big out. So it's 30seconds+.
      BUT if you want to gain flexibility, you need to hold each stretch for 2 minutes.
      (Liebscher and Bracht German physio for example)
      The shorter the less gained.

    I lie flat on my back and then do an intense streamline stretch; this then seems to involve muscles from top to toe. I understand this pose has no yoga name and have therefore named it 'jesana'.
    A variation is to lift the stretched arms and legs just off the mat. These are some of the last of several yoga 'stretch' poses I do and they relax my entire body. Any comments?🙏

    Similarity - mirror = lower back / neck etc... Helps parse - torso - thorax. But never do - at any beach.
    You need - taut tensile. Maybe - certain stretches - don't help - medley order mems.
