Rodney Fox: "In the attack, Fox's abdomen was fully exposed and all his ribs were broken on his left hand side. His diaphragm was punctured, his lung was ripped open, his scapula was pierced, his spleen was uncovered, his artery was exposed, and he was minutes away from his veins collapsing due to the loss of large amounts of blood. The tendons, fingers, and thumb in his right hand were all cut and to this day he has part of a shark tooth embedded in his wrist. His wounds required 462 stitches after the attack." dang
@Sarah -- too bad,,, they are more fun when you are a KID,,, but we didn't get to go to much when i was a boy,,, i have 6 bros and later 2 sis, so when we went on a family vac, taking the large stationwagon (now the minivan or SUV) and traveled across the USA, we stopped a few times here and there,,, usually they were a "bust" after ya saw the attraction, but RIPLEY's was always an adventure
Love your "roadside attraction" videos. Glad someone is documenting all these groovy places. One day they may be gone, but thanks to you they are recorded. Awesome.
This is the second iteration of Ripley's in Ocean City. The original opened in the same location in the late 1970s, closed down and was replaced with a laser tag attraction in the 1980s. Then this version opened in the 1990s, I believe.
somefungamerclips you are incorrect. i'm afraid. Dolly is in the Chamber Street building, Museum of Scotland. Edinburgh City Museum is down the Royal Mile.
Why would John Entwistle buy a hammerhead shark? Heck, if I could afford it I’d buy one, no question! I gotta say, I usually find novelty taxidermy amusing, but that inflated cow head was just super creepy.
The mongoose/cobra display is due to the popularity of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi from Rudysrd Kipling's The Jungle Book which every kid used to read in elementary school. Hawaii actually imported mongoosesback in the early part of the 20th C. To kill snakes which had been accidentally released. Hawaii had no native snake species originally.
Colin C. NAs a U . Of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine, I know the history of the islands. Pokémon parable is based on actual Hawaiian history. The Japanese creators did their research!
me and my kids watch you all the time was wondering if you where heading to the MD bay bridge as i live like 15 im from there and we would love to get to meet you if you have time
It feels so weird to watch you walk around a place that was such a large part of my childhood. Every year from the time I was born to when my grandmother couldn't afford to take the family when I was 14. I've walked up and down that boardwalk thousands of times. I am now 16 and I wish we could go back at least once.
i live near ocean city ! my gal is from Kansas she never even seen snow, until last year we moved to my home state, delaware, really close to ocean city one of my favorite places around !
Every time I go to Ocean City, I HAVE to go to Ripley's! Also, when this was uploaded, it was 2 months after I went. I went 2 weeks in a row in August 2018 with my bf, and we had a blast in this place! Yes, we're weird.
Great video, man. I'm not taking anything away from your video. But, I would be pretty disappointed to actually pay to see that junk. Glad I've never gone to see a Ripley's.
Ripleys are so cheesy and so fun. A place called Kenton, Tn also claims to be home of the white squirrels. They even have a winery, a squirrel festival, and are featured on Roadside America. I have been through there once and there were those little white squirrels everywhere.
We have a really cool sign museum here in Cincinnati Ohio. Next time you are in Cincinnati you should check it out! In fact... Let me know when you're coming... I'll give you the full Cincinnati experience. (Nothing creepy or weird lol)
I was there a little bit ago staying at one of the holiday Inns for a baby shower I come from wv Fairmont so 6 hour drive Edit:this must have been something like 3 year's ars ago cus I didn't see some of that stuff my fav part is the spin ally way thing

Dang he was lucky to be alive

These Ripley's videos are always my favorite! I have to watch these because my parents never let me go to the "tourist trap" as a kid 😭
@@MoviemaniaNick cool.
@@MoviemaniaNick Hey !!! I was just thinking about you & remembered your video on Ripplys. You can get 20 percent off thanks to Jake. 💖

What the heck is the tourist trap? 🤔
“Shoot him in the stab hole!” Is going to be my new favorite phrase😁. Thanks Jacob!
fart noises in the bathroom are nice. makes you feel less self conscious about others hearing you on the toilet.
lol time your fart for the speaker one
They should have bathroom smells also so you don't always have to take the blame for a horrible smell

For someone who lives here i appreciate that you were here! But also any local knows this as the worst tourist trap, lol. Love your videos!

Anytime you come over to UK there's a Ripleys in a seaside town called Blackpool. "The Vegas of the north"

Hawaii actually imported mongoosesback in the early part of the 20th C. To kill snakes which had been accidentally released. Hawaii had no native snake species originally.
The mongoose tale in Hawaii is also parables in Pokemon with the rivalry between Zangoose & Seviper and Yungoos & Alolan Raticare

Who doesn't like a shark protruding through a building.....
