    Hello and thanks for looking. I was searching for some items in my workshop the other day and came across this excellent 1949 Clockwork Hornby 201 Trainset 'O' Gauge. Watch as I show you what's included in the box and give it a try out. It's still great fun to use even though it's 75 years old.

    I still have my Hornby 0 gauge clockwork train, I had it for Christmas in 1957 when I was 5, so it is 67 years old. perhaps I will pack away my Kato H0 DCC layout and get my clockork train out. I have a station, a signal box, 2 carriages 2 wagons a brake van with opening doors, a signal, a water tower. Unfortnately I only have the original circle of track, but I had so much fun when I was a boy. Then my parents bought me an electric Hornby Dublo train, and I still have that as well. I wonder if the clockwork loco will still run, I broke the spring on it when I was a boy, and the local toyshop sent it to Hornby and they repaired it. Memories.

      I wouldn't mind betting there will be some life in your loco. These clockwork items make great noises as they move around. I hope you get them out for a spin. all the best to you

    If I had to hazard a guess, the mysterious green object lurking in your backyard is a spotlight or searchlight of kind. If I’m correct, do I get cookies?
    Nice to see you back with a new video, seems like you’ve been busy!

      Yes looks like the sort of spotlight you would have alongside an anti aircraft gun.

    Nice to see you back again.. I'm 74 and I 'm afraid that I am not running as well as the old train set.. How wonderful to have owned a "toy" with such longevity? No batteries required? Perhaps we need "C.V's" in the future (Clockwork vehicles not E.V's) ..

    Hi its super 4 it has brown sleepers

    • @MrSnooze
      @MrSnooze  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Several things can be causing problems. Are the points damaged where the motors clip to the sleeper base? Is there an issue with the point motor housing. A good solution would be to look for your best point motor and best set of points. Once you see how nicely perfect items slot together you can experiment fixing damaged or broken ones. Good luck. All the best to you

    Hello Mr. Snooze. I have not been getting notifications from YT for some time now so I missed this one. Incredible is all I can say about the tin plate set. It is in the best condition of any I have seen from that period. As others have said it looks like you have a search light in the yard.
    Kind regards, David.

    I was given my first model railway when i was 5 in 1953. It was a Triang shop window display layout. OO electric with 46201 Princess Elisabeth locomotive an d 2 coaches. It was double track with full scenery in coloured bakerlite. It was mounted on a 7 ply board, I had many happy years using it.

    Your locomotive is very similar to the one I had. It was used until the spring broke!! For a three year old boy like I was in 1960, the clockwork Hornby was the most appropriate thing for me!!
