Real Fun Boat Launch out of Umzimkulu filmed by Sheldon van Tonder

This is quite a recent launch. Well before the disastrous cut-off low that just hit so hard here in southern KZN. The sandbank across the mouth of the Umzimkulu was super shallow this day. Making for a few circles as we tried to spot a break between the little 1.5m swells.
Eventually one came after a set filled the bay up slightly. But we only got through after some high speed running from a breaking wave.
Non -stop action from start to finish on this launch.

I used to launch out that mouth in my 3m duck. Scariest launch one day when the river was in flood. Massive waves on either side of the main current pushing out. 🤦🏻‍♂️. Not something I would do now with more knowledge
