I see you changed your "poe"nunciation of Takeshi's last name so it fits that of the show. I was gunna comment on the previous video had you not in this one, but here I am. Cool videos!! This was a great show to binge on Netflix.
I can summarize it in a few words. They killed the show. Season one was great. Everything the atmosphere the characters everything was great they dropped the ball in season 2 they could’ve had more seasons if they kept the energy
Hated every moment while watching it. Kovacs was not Kovacs. Mannerisms, way of speech, thinking process, etc. would come with the STACK. A PG dumbed down, hollow version. And I said many bads words while watching. Loudly. Sad about that.
I could not make it past the first episode. The main character was clearly miscast and... eh, I don´t even remember much of it. First episode of the first season had me hooked instantly.
I am up to episode 3, and I just knew something felt off, series 2 is a complete bastardisation of books 2 and 3. Soo many plot holes now .... like how do they get the mined stack metal off planet? The angle fire was supposed to shoot anything that went over 130m off the ground down (if I remember correctly). I do like the inclusion of Poe, and I do wish he was in books 2&3. I cannot see how/where there gunna go or even if there is a season 3, as iirc the author wasn’t going to do a book4, and instead did some prequels Dunno how I feel about it now .... gunna have to do some beer meditation 🧘♂️
I just regard the series as fan fiction, which it basically is. It lets me still enjoy the show even though they are fucking up the books. it's a little disappointing since 3 was by far my favorite book and that was dead with the way they changed things in season one. I didn't even know there were prequels, where they any good?
Super great synopsis of Season 1 + 2. Really Great! It helped bring the whole thing together. Great job. Personally, I'd like much LESS brutal violence & torture. I actually fast forwarded through some sections because I thought it was over the top. If the story is good (which it is)... & if the characters are engaging (which they are)... excessive violence is completely unnecessary (& actually takes away from the series, I think).
Too bad it was cancelled. This show had great potential. Netflix is very VERY shortsighted. Even if this show didn't have enough audition back then, it eventually would have. Not everything is about fast profit and the shit you think worth grinding for.
I found season 2 to be a bit weaker, we don't see thru Takeshi's eyes except hear and there as well there is far less of the puzzle solving from the first season, also from the first season we see less of the building of the pack that quell talked about, also for an interstellar civilization why do we see all the surface favoritism, where are the Dyson swarms
In my opinion season 2 felt like a bad CW tv show. Large part of scenes are transitions. Themes, dialogue, casting, special effects, and fight scenes are disappointing. Let's be honest, what fight scene was really memorable? (Final fight scene was meh) What cool scene showcased his "enhanced" healing? (They could have done some cool scenes like in X Men movies with Wolverine, but none to be found) Season 1 felt like a Blade Runner like fun. Season 2 felt unfocused, sloppy, and sadly cheap. Fans waited this long for a lame CW like product to me was a bummer. Season 3 to complete the book series would now seem doubtful. I was so excited for this season but after the third episode it seemed clear what this was... Not the competitor to The Expanse...
Dude, fuck these haters think. . .you did an awesome bloody job, I totally love the addition about the soul, which I hope that is something they delve into a bit more next season(no fucking way it can't happen)

I can summarize it in a few words. They killed the show. Season one was great. Everything the atmosphere the characters everything was great they dropped the ball in season 2 they could’ve had more seasons if they kept the energy
Is it just me or did season 2 suck compared to season 1
Good Poe impression
Are they going to make a 3rd season
Not anytime soon. It got cancelled.
I want another season :(
Season 3:rise of Poe
Hated every moment while watching it. Kovacs was not Kovacs. Mannerisms, way of speech, thinking process, etc. would come with the STACK. A PG dumbed down, hollow version. And I said many bads words while watching. Loudly. Sad about that.
Let me explain Season 2 in short; it's shit.
I could not make it past the first episode.
The main character was clearly miscast and... eh, I don´t even remember much of it.
First episode of the first season had me hooked instantly.
7:06 he said bad mf like he is from sw detroit
Maybe Quells "imaginary" friend is actually Envoy Takeshi's DHF. There might be some free space on her stack since the elder moved out.
Full Spectrum Matter 🤔
takeshis dhf was stored within poe..
@@QargZer probably, but it's not actually shown who's DHF Poe has.
Save yourself 20 minutes. I will explain season 2 for all of you in 2 words, "it's shit". There you go.
I can't just watch Mackie ruin the flare I have if Joel playing Tak perfectly
So I'm here watching this explained video
Thank you
I am up to episode 3, and I just knew something felt off, series 2 is a complete bastardisation of books 2 and 3.
Soo many plot holes now .... like how do they get the mined stack metal off planet? The angle fire was supposed to shoot anything that went over 130m off the ground down (if I remember correctly).
I do like the inclusion of Poe, and I do wish he was in books 2&3.
I cannot see how/where there gunna go or even if there is a season 3, as iirc the author wasn’t going to do a book4, and instead did some prequels
Dunno how I feel about it now .... gunna have to do some beer meditation 🧘♂️
David Hill I don’t recall that in the book 😉
In the books it's said that there is a safe zone or a very small hole through the defense grid, near the equator, but it's difficult to navigate.
I just regard the series as fan fiction, which it basically is. It lets me still enjoy the show even though they are fucking up the books. it's a little disappointing since 3 was by far my favorite book and that was dead with the way they changed things in season one. I didn't even know there were prequels, where they any good?
Actually, acting and shakycam aside, the story of S2 is more SF than S1 which in essence was a bit LA Confidential.
Looking fwd to S3
Now do Why Did They Cancel Altered Carbon Explained
OK. I made this just then for you specifically:

@@JakesPlace love you
What is the story behind the drawing that Quell makes, drawing that is placed in the envelope ?
Not 100% but I think it's to do with an elder language which helped prove that quell had an elder "entity" in her stack.
has you seen ALTERED CARBON Anime
Joel is the last envoy.
Netflix ruined this series. The writers had a fantastic book to draw from but ignored the story line and made shit up. Insert sad face here
Too bad it was cancelled. This show had great potential. Netflix is very VERY shortsighted. Even if this show didn't have enough audition back then, it eventually would have. Not everything is about fast profit and the shit you think worth grinding for.
I thought Anthony Mackie was great in season 2.
I WILL @ YOU! bit of an underwhelming season though. They need more actors with charisma if there's a season 3
Fantastic video
Do we really need an explanation? It's scifi not rocket science
these sorts of videos can be nice if/when a new season comes out as a reminder of what happened. =]
I needed this for season one season 2 was easy to follow
As a rocket scientist I disagree...
@@Teddyzipper Truth. I didnt have to watch Season 1 because of these type of videos
Its definitely Nak because before it ended Dig said that bring out the whiskey.
(They could have done some cool scenes like in X Men movies with Wolverine, but none to be found)
Season 1 felt like a Blade Runner like fun.
