The filming everyone and everything after the tattoo is honestly part of the 'scam' (lack of better word). Most people being 'confronted' with a camera in front of them will not try to escalate an issue, especially if the person on the other side is 'bubbly and loved'. I don't think Ariel thinks she is doing anything wrong ... I think she is delusional. Sadly some people who do things out of 'faith' seem to get more out of doing 'good' then actually doing a good job. She clearly has a passion to help people, which I respect so much. But, I think her energy and enthusiasm to help people could be redirected to organizing food drives, working with hospice, making sandwiches etc... This idea that you have to need to 'help and serve everyone' she has taken too literal. She just needs a reality check, but I also think she is a bit too far gone to get one or believe anyone who tries to help her out.
Volunteering doesn’t pay money, and I think Ariel is definitely doing this for money. She rushes her job so that she could fit more appointments during the day. If she takes an hour for a tattoo for which she charges 130, she can earn around 1k a day. Instead, she could have taken her time and proper money and earn the same from just 2-3 clients

It was probably illegal because of the Native population tbh. (Non American viewers who may not know, the majority of tribes in the eastern U.S. were forcibly relocated to Oklahoma). This could easily happen in the section of the population that she is likely trying to help. The problem with treating dental issues with such disregard is our mouth is near our brain, and has a rich blood supply. It is so easy for infections to become deadly if not treated correctly. Her good intentions for helping people does not override her horrible impact of her poor choices. She’s not open to feedback and has a savior complex… that’s a horrible mix.
There might not be explicit laws about a minor tattooing, but there are child labor laws, and while children (Including those under 14) are allowed to work in family businesses, there’s two major requirements: 1) they’re under the parent’s direct supervision 2) the work they’re doing is non-hazardous. I’d argue that a job involving consistent and direct contact with the blood of the people she works with is a hazardous job, for the clients at the very least, but potentially for the child if the necessary precautions are not taken, and I don’t think the TWC would consider this an exemption to the child labor laws.
The shoddy tattoo is one thing but the dentistry stuff makes me feel ill. I've just been to a dentist last week who fixed a mistake a real licensed dentist made that lead to me having cavities under a filling. I was in so much pain because it's so close to the nerves, and it still hurts because the nerves are upset. I can't even imagine what will happen with what she did to those people when she really knows nothing about dentistry. 😱
the cut away to the husband laid me out. he did not look like the kind of guy who would have either a skull and dagger tattoo or a spartan helmet tattoo with. like blood splashes. like there's nothing wrong with it, he just looks like my friends father in law and its just like so incongruous in my brain. hope he's able to get it covered or fixed to his liking also at 13:41 I think the comments on the tattoo are form Ariel's post on TikTok
Even if the dentistry wasn't illegal.....I would NEVER go to someone who spells "tattoos" with an apostrophe. I can't stop thinking "Blindfold tattoo's what?!?! WHAT does a blindfold tattoo own?!?!? Is it the studio? Then put 'studio' after the word! Is it your sanity?! Then it needs to be 'Blindfold Tattoo's Got My Sanity'!!!"
Thank you!!! I could not believe that was the actual sign on the storefront. It looks like someone intentionally Photoshopped it as terribly as possible. I don't know where on this Earth people pick up the habit of adding an apostrophe for plurals, but I would never be a customer to anyone who can't be bothered to run their store name past a couple other humans and maybe a computer lol... Y'know, just in case one of them says, "hey, you're about to announce your idiocy to the world if you don't change this!" Also, every tattoo shop I've ever seen has an artistic sign and not the world's most boring font with zero stylization going on. I know we're still hung up on the mighty task of adding an "s" to a word without throwing in punctuation no one asked for, but one would think putting some effort into people's first impression of the business would be a no-brainer.
I'm not going to lie, I could probably watch a hundred parts of Ariel Dejesus as long as it's new information! Keep it coming, this is comfort content!
I'm exhausted after an eight hour drive to Normandy France, and watching your video now is the ultimate way to distress and relax. This woman is so vile and gives tattooing and tattoos a bad name. Shame on her
I watch so many of your videos talking about bad tattoo coverups that I forget how good a coverup can actually be. that bird coverup from another artist you showed was gorgeous!!
As someone who's tattooed in america, it's not uncommon for people to just walk up to you and start talking to you about your tattoos. Over here people having casual conversations in lines or just by walking by each other on the street is not uncommon. For those with anxiety it is absolute hell, but it is something that I have gotten used to more and more the more tattoos I've gotten :3 Also, I am also 100% guilty for walking up to somebody and saying how I like a certain tattoo they have or commenting on how well I think a tattoo fits their arm or leg or something. In general we are just an outgoing people I guess
14:09 it's not that uncommon for someone in the US to compliment a stranger. If he lives in a small town he could've gotten that much feedback going from the gas station to the grocery store to the bar etc.
Yeah I'm like tf people comment on strangers tattoos all the time. I'm always complimenting nice tattoos I see on others, and people often ask about mine
love how Lauren has already gone all out in the Halloween decor, meanwhile I'm here in a t-shirt and shorts wishing summer lasts forever (though at the same time I've already pulled out the xmas t-shirt once, so who am I to talk 🤣)
Lauren, I very recently discovered your videos, and have been on a Binge- watching frenzy these past 2 weeks... just wanted to let you know that your content is like the comfort blanket I never knew I needed! So, thank you!! 🇨🇦
I lost two upper teeth (not the roots) because my dentist accidentally trapped Karies under a filling (both teeth were encased in metal because of braces, so no malpractice here). This was a best case scenario. I could have lost nerves, I could have lost the roots, I could have gotten an infection, I could have gotten sepsis. This happens when infections are trapped, we caught it in time because I went to the dentist regularly (braces). Imagine what happens to people who can not afford this luxury and monitor the teeth regularly...
Similar story, just no braces. And I only noticed because it started to hurt. I went to another dentist to fix it. It was so close to the nerves that it still hurts a little, and it was really bad after it was done because all the work he had to do really upset the nerves. Just imagine when that is a mistake even a real dentist can make how bad it could get with what she did. And I'm in Germany so tooth work is included in health-care, and there are even ways for homeless people to have their teeth fixed. I doubt it will be so easy in the US - if they'll get any help by a professional at all. It's just terrifying. Someone could actually die over this.
I imagine there are health code violations. With charging clients such little money for a tattoo (granted they’re not even worth what she does charge), can she even afford to get the proper products in to maintain the shop? If she does have them, why aren’t they being used? You know Lauren, I would love love love to see the tattoo rescue fixer guy go and deal with Ariel and her shop. Oh the Tea!! Wouldn’t that be a popular episode? Lol.
29:52 As someone in recovery, it is SO much worse than that. When Ariel's "dentistry" inevitably ends up ruining their teeth even further, who are they going to go to to fix it? If they can't afford prevantative dental care, how the FUCK are they going to afford to fix the mess Ariel left them with? A girl in my mom's cosmetology school got arrested for the same thing. She was using nail acrylic in peoples mouths. One woman ended up CHOKING TO DEATH on the acrylic in her sleep. Her partner had to find her hours later. They found the acrylic tooth chunk blocking her airway during autopsy. This woman had CHILDREN. And now shes gone 😔
As a tattoo artist myself, I’ve worked with many artists I was fans of who seem super sweet and nice online/to their clients, but as soon as there’s no $$$ in front of their face…they are the worst people you’ve ever met. It’s sad that this industry is an easy place for these kinds of people to succeed in :(
There are dentists willing to do some work for little or no money for a broke person who is genuinely in need (I’m not in Texas, so mileage may vary). There are also low cost services often available through dental schools. DIY dental fillings are just … wow.
The most sick and messed up I've ever been was when I got a root canal, after which the dentist acknowledged a present infection but didn't give me anything to treat it and after a couple days that infection had spread into my sinuses. Messing around with people's teeth like this is wildly dangerous and she'll kill someone at this rate Also how was the health inspector thing not a MASSIVE red flag to this couple? That would make me immediately GTFO, I don't care how far I'd come or what I'd already spent to be there.
Unfortunately, it's very common for businesses to pay off health inspectors in the US. Eventually, one of her clients will end up with an infected tattoo and sue Ariel then hopefully an investigation will be conducted into her practices and she will be finally shut down.
An important note - I think it's really important for everyone to NOT shame victims of Ariel on social media. This makes her clients who want to speak out stay quiet out of fear of bullying. This only HELPS Ariel. It's not helping anyone by shaming her ex clients who already feel bad. Okie made a video explaining why she went to Ariel in response to the relentless comments insulting her and her husband. And it's the same reason as a lot of people who fell for it . ENCOURAGE clients to speak up. It's more likely to be seen and listened to by potential clients so they won't make the same mistake.
That illegal dentistry is horrifying 😮 you mentioned sepsis which is absoloutly a risk but also dental infections can go to the heart! It’s common enough that cardiac patients often take antibiotics before getting dental work done. Idk how much she’s done it but if she still does it she will cause a death, it’s only a matter of time
Honestly this is the reason I do SOOO much research on where I want to get tattooed. My fiancé has recommended me so many places, as well as the place he did his tattoo apprenticeship with but I disliked all of them. I must have looked at dozens of artists and after about 4 months of research I finally found an artist that I like and who specialises in the style I want. I’ve always thought that I want my tattoo to be “perfect”, the line work needs to be phenomenal and very clean, basically godly level if it’s going to be on me forever and a lot of people have said that’s unrealistic which I get but at the same time I don’t want to get something I won’t be 100% happy with. Of course the tattoos will look different in the future but at least they’ll age well. I don’t mind paying extra if the quality is better because after all tattoos are permanent.
I had just been on the sh*tty tattoo subreddit and came across one of her "cover-ups" and then I saw your video. Did we all manifest an Ariel DeJesus video?
Regarding the dentistry, honestly what an indictment of the US medical system that people are so desperate for healthcare that they have to go to a janky tattoo artist bc that’s all they can afford. Imagine if we had universal access to dentistry services so we could have real medical professionals giving people the help they need and educating people on why they can’t trust any random person with their teeth.
There's this thing in America here people like Nail Technician's are also saying they're Dental Technician's !! They are doing veneers, etc on people (as well as nails.) This is absolutely illegal and not a thing. A "dental tech" is not a accredited title or role to work on a humans teeth. And real dentists have come out online to speak up about it and to try to shut it down as these "dental techs" are *ruining* people's teeth. I think this is what Ariel was doing apparently. It is (according to dentists) illegal and the authorities are attempting to stop it apparently. Wtf is wrong with some people?!
What really sucks about US Healthcare atleast in my state is you not only are screwed trying to obtain insurance but if your to poor to afford it but not poor enough to qualify for lower rates you can also get fined for not being able to afford health insurance
i had a student put a filling over an infected nerve. I thought i was going to die for the pain. Ariel should be in jail for this. She WILL kill someone.
Was NOT expecting a crossover with amateur dentistry or “veneertok” in this saga, but knowing how that whole niche came about it does not surprise me in the slightest 😭
A girl who was my “bestfriend” for decades was like this, very very nice, had friends everywhere she went, was the life of the party etc everyone “loved” her and enjoyed her company. However as I was the one closest to her I was privy to her true nature. Soon as we were out of earshot she would talk about the same people she was just all smiles to see. I finally had enough of her when she went to one of her neighbors who was gifting them money(as my friend and her boyfriend and kids were in a bad financial situation). This lady was nice enough to give her over a thousand dollars so her kids had food and so they had gas for their cars, and yet as soon as we walked outside her house my friend immediately started cracking on the lady, making fun of her. She treated me like shit in so many ways over the years too, I had it with her at this point and kicked her out of my life. Just because someone is charming and entertaining or even “sweet” and upbeat, it doesn’t automatically mean you should trust them or take everything they say at face value. Part of being a con is having to trick people into getting close enough to you to take advantage. They can’t do that if they expose their true, ugly inner nature!
Lauren, here's some more American lore for you- "Okie" is a slang term used to mean someone from Oklahoma. It is considered offensive by some but is also embraced by many Oklahomans
Teeth are my one thing that makes me nauseous to hear too much about so the idea of going to a dentist that hasnt been to dental school is legitimately my nightmare 🤢
I mean, given how inaccessible medical/dental care is in the US, I'm not too surprised she wanted to help people in that way. At the end of the day it was a terrible decision because poor dental work can certainly lead to more problems than just leaving things, but I could see the good intentions behind it. It reflects on the poor state of health care in this country just as much as it reflects on Ariel's rashness and poor decision making.
Listen I'm from rural hell, I know firsthand how bad lack of access to dental care can be. But this ain't the solution!!! At least, if nothing else, this might finally get some legal repercussions to stick to her. She has to be stopped for the safety of her community.
I went to a low income dental clinic and they killed my tooth doing a routine filling so I ended up going somewhere more reliable and getting a crown done. Most expensive low income choice I've ever made. I can't imagine going to someone's tattoo studio for a filling 😅 sounds like a recipe for sepsis to me and that's a major killer.
I'm not someone who emotes a lot and I have some tattoos (that I love), and I expressed more joy than Okie's husband. There seemed to be a tone of trying to figure out if he liked it.

If she's willing to risk lives by doing back alley dentistry, I shudder to think what happens when those cameras aren't rolling. 😑
Her good intentions for helping people does not override her horrible impact of her poor choices. She’s not open to feedback and has a savior complex… that’s a horrible mix.
How is this woman still in business? I genuinely do not understand 🤦🏿♀️
Even the axolotls in the background are huddled together in fear of the wicked witch of the tattoo studio, poor things :(
There might not be explicit laws about a minor tattooing, but there are child labor laws, and while children (Including those under 14) are allowed to work in family businesses, there’s two major requirements: 1) they’re under the parent’s direct supervision 2) the work they’re doing is non-hazardous.
i love the background decoration 🥹🎃🍁🍂😍
Thank you!!! 🧡
That lady that covered the airplane tattoo is EXACTLY what a cover up should look like! I'm shocked with how beautiful it came out!!! 😍
My first thought when I saw the title was ‘wtf has Ariel done now?’ Thanks for keeping up with this hot mess Lauren ❤
As a chronically ill person I felt the “I’ve had more excitement for a blood test” 😂😂😂 I’m cackling!
the cut away to the husband laid me out. he did not look like the kind of guy who would have either a skull and dagger tattoo or a spartan helmet tattoo with. like blood splashes. like there's nothing wrong with it, he just looks like my friends father in law and its just like so incongruous in my brain. hope he's able to get it covered or fixed to his liking
also at 13:41 I think the comments on the tattoo are form Ariel's post on TikTok
@@RumBrave LOL, but then again, what can we expect from her? She put as much effort into her sign as she does into her tattoos.
I saw a TikTok the other day that just said “Ariel de Jesus should go to jail” and I was like well what could she have done now
As someone who's tattooed in america, it's not uncommon for people to just walk up to you and start talking to you about your tattoos. Over here people having casual conversations in lines or just by walking by each other on the street is not uncommon. For those with anxiety it is absolute hell, but it is something that I have gotten used to more and more the more tattoos I've gotten :3
Also, I am also 100% guilty for walking up to somebody and saying how I like a certain tattoo they have or commenting on how well I think a tattoo fits their arm or leg or something.
@@madokami03 I'm pretty sure doing that IS uncommon everywhere else in the world. We're the weirdos, but it's nice 👍
@mikimichael9729 well, I am Canadian, they say we're nicer and more chatty than most 🤣😅
love how Lauren has already gone all out in the Halloween decor, meanwhile I'm here in a t-shirt and shorts wishing summer lasts forever (though at the same time I've already pulled out the xmas t-shirt once, so who am I to talk 🤣)
Meanwhile, I can't wait for summer to end. 😅
Why did I move into a top floor flat? 😢😭😂
Halloween is a season, not an event. I decorate my house this time of year as I can buy stuff for all the year round!
@@sylverscale trust me I get the struggle 😅 I live in a 100+ year old home with no ac. But can’t help it I’m a summer girlie
I'm simple i see treacle videos I click
LMAO! I'm not surprised you had to do a part 5! She's a living disaster!
Lauren, I very recently discovered your videos, and have been on a Binge- watching frenzy these past 2 weeks... just wanted to let you know that your content is like the comfort blanket I never knew I needed! So, thank you!!
🇨🇦
All I want to know about is the bling you have on your eyes!!! It is so freaking awesome!!! I NEED details or I will die!
Stick on pearls!! They have a flat back and are sticky but I used eyelash glue on them for extra stick!! I got them from Amazon 😄
@@treacletattsThanks for saving lives. ❤️
@@sylverscale I try my best 😂🧡
“The ghost of Ariel is trying to choke me” got me 😂
There could just be a whole Ariel series 😆. Today in Ariel news….the permanently scarred
NO NO NO ABSOLUTELY NOT!! DONT LET SOME RANDOM PERSON FUCK WITH YOUR TEETH!
"the ghost of Ariel s trying to choke me" Has me Rollin lmao
Someone get the Bentist on the case. DX unqualified people doing dentistry is a trend currently, it seems Ariel was a trend setter
Messing around with people's teeth like this is wildly dangerous and she'll kill someone at this rate
Also how was the health inspector thing not a MASSIVE red flag to this couple?
Idk how much she’s done it but if she still does it she will cause a death, it’s only a matter of time
In America, people comment on random people’s tattoo all the time. It happens to me frequently
29:48 that's like going to a tattoo artist that's never tattooed before or even learned how to draw.😂😂😂
I love that Okie didn't back up and her sassy energy is gold 😅
They are doing veneers, etc on people (as well as nails.)
This is absolutely illegal and not a thing.
The way I laughed when I saw the “cover up” 😂
And just when you think you're out, some bs happens and you're pulled back in. 😮💨
We all need an Okie in our lives. Her fighting for her husband is goals.
What really sucks about US Healthcare atleast in my state is you not only are screwed trying to obtain insurance but if your to poor to afford it but not poor enough to qualify for lower rates you can also get fined for not being able to afford health insurance
I've been so anxious for an update, THANK YOU.
13:10 Since we see him at the start of the process, it's pretty safe to say that a happy Nathan doesn't look this unemotive. Poor guy
i had a student put a filling over an infected nerve. I thought i was going to die for the pain. Ariel should be in jail for this. She WILL kill someone.
“just to set the record straight i hate the tattoo” poor guy 😭😭🤣🤣
They can’t do that if they expose their true, ugly inner nature!
my gratitude to the all incredible artists who did my tattoos grows every time I hear about this woman 🙏
07:15
"The Ghost of Ariel is trying to choak me!"
I almost died laughing 🤣🤣
Lots of Love, Lauren❤
Lauren, here's some more American lore for you- "Okie" is a slang term used to mean someone from Oklahoma. It is considered offensive by some but is also embraced by many Oklahomans
My tattoo artist, who went to JAIL FOR KILLING SOMEONE WHILE DRUNK DRIVING, took hygiene more seriously than this woman
If you look at her portfolio, saw her work and still decided to book and travel on top of it… that’s on you
You're always so fun and positive it makes my day a bit brighter :D Now let's find out what new horrors Ariels up to..
Teeth are my one thing that makes me nauseous to hear too much about so the idea of going to a dentist that hasnt been to dental school is legitimately my nightmare 🤢
I was just thinking earlier today “I wonder when Lauren will have a new video” and Poof! Here you are! ❤😊
She has to be stopped for the safety of her community.
new treacletats vid!! THANK YOU this is the best way to start september
Your eye makeup with the backdrop is just *chefs kiss* 😍🖤
I'm not someone who emotes a lot and I have some tattoos (that I love), and I expressed more joy than Okie's husband. There seemed to be a tone of trying to figure out if he liked it.
personally i would’ve reacted the same way to a bad tattoo if I had a camera on me and someone pressuring me to agree with them..
Dentistry??? I would never have thought to put that on my bingo card.
