Having watched a lot of interviews with British Special forces what seems to shine through is they are so humble, down to earth, intelligent thinking men, look at problems differently than the norm, always with a positive attitude and a lot coming from underprivileged/ working-class families with a hard upbringing. I wish I had have watched this when I was 16, when I turned 16 I went to join the army, past the practical test but failed the medical due to a knee injury I sustained when I was 12, the army doctor sat me down and told me I was 4F unfit and would never be able to join the army, I walked out of the hut in Palace barracks Belfast and fell against the bank and just cried as the army is all I had focused on, a friend of mine's father was staff at the local territorial army (102nd air defence reg RA) so I joined that, completed the training and passed out of basic at Woolwich barracks in 1987, I served for 3 years rising to the rank of corporal but then left, so from 1990 I had no direction in life and drifted between jobs although my last job was as a bench fettler in Magellan aerospace, I was forced to retire after discovering I had brain damage which to date is undiagnosed but has all the symptoms of MS, I am now 52 years old and have so many regrets about what could have been if I just had a father figure or someone in my life to direct me, I am not bitter about it and I take each day as it comes but I also believe God gives us our lives as lessons we maybe needed to learn, I believe my lesson/s are faith and trust and that no matter what life throws at you to always try and be positive about it.., I am so positive that if I found myself in hell I'd be like.., at least its warm!.., but damn that was a great interview and i wish Aldo the very best.

ive been reading lost by Jason Fox and Ollie Ollerton and Now Aldo Kayne and i have a different mindset to things that i do in life. much respect and love to these guys.
Such a great interview, Aldo is so down to earth and honest and his mindset is inspirational. Just the way he talks makes you think about your life and how anyone can achieve.
