  • We asked Annemarie Mitchell, architect for Legacy Timber Frames, to design a 7 sided gazebo to place next to our 62' labyrinth. (She designed our hexagonal home - yeah, I like triangles and sacred geometry.) Seven sides to a building is quite difficult because there are no cross beams. Soon after her designing and just before our official approval on the plans, she sadly passed away. Two years later, her partner, Dan Roseberger, though he had disbanded Legacy Timber Frames due to the loss of his treasured architect and partner, Annemarie, had offered to complete our project with the help of another timber framer. All in honor of Annemarie.
After our dear neighbors and friends, Josh and Jon Jones, and Sean Shultis built the foundation, enter another meticulous timber framer, Dan Minbiole. He redrew her plans and slightly altered the construction of the pinnacle in the center. Dan and Dan came with Todd and Colby to erect the structure
Jon and Sean returned to place the ceiling of 1"x6" tongue and groove, which I pre-stained. Then, the roof panels came (pre made in weird triangles that fit) from the Foard company. Then, Dave and Jon papered the roof on the third of July. Then, because it was the 4th, we had an impromptu gathering and fireworks. Woo hoo!
(still waiting for the metal roof to be installed)
