Love the plates and bolw you bought. I really need to go to Nitori more but it's not close by to where I usually say in Japan, so I always forget.
The maguro zuke looks delicious. A friend of mine made lunch when I visited the other day and she made sushi rice and topped it with salmon (here we can only get smoked salmon) and used the sesame seed dressing from kwepie for the fish. I never thought of that but it was delicous.
The dessert looked yummy, I like those kinda desserts.

I was very happy today as I found a large Asian supermarket and I recognised so many of the items and it's thanks to your cooking and videos! I bought quite a few things including miso, kimchi and the drink your children like that has the little ball in the bottle neck. My daughter enjoyed it very much! We also got red bean paste mochi to try. It was nice to get things so I can follow your recipes :) Hugs to you and you can think of us in rural France making your dishes :)

I like the Udon noodle mix you made in the microwave, for lunch! Usually, I eat twice a day, once early in the morning & once late afternoon/early evening. I eat Asian too, even though I'm American...I just think it tastes better & it's healthier, because of all the veggies. I don't eat meat often, no special reason, other than I love the veggies more! I spent a year in N Korea, when my late hubby was stationed there, way back in 1973/74 & fell in love with Asian cooking. I did some when we returned to the states, but mostly cooked a lot more American style meals, but early this year, I went to all Asian. Since I'm a lot older & live alone, it's the perfect diet for me, especially with the ease & taste preference. I still make my own kimchi...I love kimchi & rice, with veggies. I just wish the US stores near me, sold more Asian fresh veggies...that's the only thing that's hard for an Asian diet here. I can't leave my home any longer either, because of a digestive disease, but this diet really seems to actually be better for me, than the heaviness of American food! I like nitori but my kids are very. Clumsy so I tend to get my rice bowls and dishes from can do, seria and daiso until they stop dropping them. But I do get my tea cups and cooking utensils from there as I like the quality. We are now flying home for Xmas . Which I am very excited about.

Where I live we go to a strawberry festival every march. You would not believe how cheap the are. 5 us dollars for 4 pints of strawberry, they also have the white ones even cheaper
White strawberry in Japan cost like $20 !!! Other cost at least $5 for about 10 strawberries 🍓 I am jealous 🥹

The walnut bread looks like it would be so tasty, especially like you fixed it...I wonder if it would be even better toasted first...hmm. What do you use the plain yogurt for? I noticed you buy it every shopping trip almost & it make me wonder. Ooh, I love the butter dish/slicer tray!! Such a great idea! I eat a lot of seasoned seaweed in my rice too, along with Bonito Flakes, soy sauce & a bit of sesame seed oil & kimchi...so delicious! I did but didn’t have enough time to thaw completely as it was a last minute decision to cook that for dinner😅
In addition my oven will adjust accordingly so I didn’t have to thaw completely 😄

Hey i really like your videos, they are not only entertaining but also very educational about daily Japanese cuisine. However in this video when you were talking about the blanket you said it’s “girly”. Gender is a social construct and there isn’t such thing as girly or boyish. Nothing should be assigned to a person just because they are a particular sex. That kind of language can be offensive so I just wanted to share my point of view. I hope you have a great day.

Gender isn’t a “social construct.” It’s biology. There are only two btw. It was girly so she said girly. Be offended with God or Mother Nature over only two genders and go take it up with them.

@@dottieland7061 oh by the way it’s not a Japanese cultural thing. Chewing and slurping loudly was done by Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Korean people and it was considered a compliment to the chef that the food was tasty. You kinda had to do that in those ancient days. In modern times meh

@@TheCookieeis how do you know? It’s a 15-20 minute video twice a week. It’s a snippet of every day life. You shouldn’t judge people for eating what they chose.
Someone told that to me years ago so I reduced and basically eliminated my meat intake. Now, I’m suffering with the results of severe anemia and I had to go back to red meat. Iron shots and iron infusion was also recommended. Everyone should eat red meat unless you have some type of allergy. It’s especially important for women/girls that have heavy periods.
