Mithrax gets the Kell of Kells mantle because no one else is left after sitting on his ass all season. Eramis is chosen despite being a murderous general of the Witness. Fikrul gets shafted permanently. Variks is still utterly wasted. Somehow Bungie messed up all 4 of them in 1 season.
Yup. FACTS.
I agree with everything other than eramis. Despite eramis once being a murderous general of the witness and still being a pretty big asshole, I think the reason the echo chose her over mithrax was because of a few reasons.
A lot of the actions eramis takes are understandable from her perspective.
First, the traveler abandons her people to a life wrought in darkness, grief, and horror, then she has to witness the new race it has chosen be blessed with paracausal power that it uses to slaughter her kind.
A greater power offers her strength for her people and she takes it. She is awoken by a force whom she cannot say no to without death and so reluctantly serves while getting what she wants.
From her perspective, humanity has done no good for eliksni, and to an extent she’s right after season of the splicer. But anyway, while there was once an argument to be made about her choices being more about herself, the echo has seemingly deemed those actions to be genuine and truly in the name of her kind. Mithrax however, was possessed (and still might be) by nezarec, that’s a big ass problem. Beyond that though, mithrax might view the eliksni with different eyes. Whereas he sees shame in the history of the whirlwind, eramis sees a race only doing what it needs to survive a terrible fate.
Also It would've probably made sense for Crow to deliver Fikruls final blow.
@@stasis_dorito3146 We can go much further on that point, but thank you, I appreciate that someone else understands Eramis. People don't understand her redemption arc at all, she isn't redeaming herself to humanity, and she doesn't have to because she easily got as good as she gave and then some, we're even with her atrocities wise at least. The thing she has to redeam herself for is unleashing the Vex in the Glassway, that was the point where she chose revenge over her people, and it's what her arc is about atoning for. Her resolution is thematically perfect, it's Eramis accepting that she can never move on from the past, and realising that's why she isn't fit to lead the Eliksni. It's about her letting go and allowwing the younger Eliksni to make their own choices, even if she thinks they're mistakes. Eramis built Riis Reborn in an attempt to move on from the past and make a fresh start, but when the Pyramid offerred her a chance at revenge, she couldn't resist. In the end, she realises the wound of the Whirlwind and Riis will never heal for her, and so she has to leave. It's a story about how some trauma will never go away, and sometimes you have to accept that about yourself inorder to not hurt others.
How was Fikrul wasted?
Eramis getting untold power and a “redemption” arc despite not owning up to her mistakes and the fact that she willingly released the vex onto her people killing possibly hundreds to thousands

Eramis having that power over Mithrax is like when Pete Parsons get the most money from Sony compare to everyone at Bungie to buy himself a nice cars collection
God forbid the woman who wants to restore the Eliksni to glory finally gets the means to do so in a non-destructive way.
Bungie managed to cobble together a story conclusion that craps on their own lore and feels unsatisfying to the entire community.
I hope the theater kid in their writing team is happy making Eramis a consequence free Eliksni girl boss.
Yeah she unleashed the Vex on her people, served the Witness and tried to blow up the City and the Traveler....but she's nice to Eido so she's cool now :))

@@JohnDoe-ji5cr A part of me hopes that writer got fired in the previous round of layoffs while this was in post-production. You just know that if Lightfall and The Final Shape had actually been commercially successful, they’d still have a job and this still would’ve come out, and I personally don’t think they deserve to be paid after the subpar quality on display these past two seasons.
Speak for yourself. I found this conclusion and the established lore to be highly consistent with each other.
Dang, wouldve been actually cool to see his corruption complete and utter. Destiny keeps on saving the day and only slightly lets the good guys suffer. As a halo reach fan, sometimes failure tells a good story.
Aside from that, glad to see eramis stand tall
I couldn't agree more - failure builds character in real life.....and it a videogame/movie/show that adds to the story by building the lows for the then highs. If everything is all high (ahem: sunshine, rainbows, and the power of friendship) then it's not really much of a story
Eramis deserve this FOR ME.
She always want eliksni to be free, the echoes didn’t chose her because she is good, but because she want deeply re-make the old glory of riis.
And after all she has done, she now realise that her revange, her angry, shouldn’t be direct against us.
I like variks too, because he accept that he can’t go back, but he can watch the future.
And i like how Mitrhaks now are the only and real leader of the eliksni in Sol.

Oh, and that final line of Fikrul, i really felt that.
And the slinding of my hunter was pure drip for me.
Let me live my life, i enjoy this universe so much.
The final shape was peak, and this episode sistem have problem i know that, but I appreciate so much of the artist and narratives direction.
For me this game is so much fun, as solo and as a clan member.
And 10 years of this for me isn’t enough, i want to go and explore new frontiers whit my hunter.
I respect other opinion but obviously some people will come here crying, telling me that i can’t have different opinion of their, because they are genius and i’m dumb.
So, come, but you’ll talk alone.
I’ve done lose time whit sad people.
I’ll spend that time playing the game you hate.

Wasted potential to have a boss fight with Evil Misraxx.
Here’s my idea for a potential new Destiny myth arc:
_The Traveler, as clearly and loudly as it can, announces that it will leaving Earth, and eventually Sol entirely, to begin mending the greater universe of the damages wrought by The Witness and its loyalist forces, and that is wishes for the Collation of Sol to join it in these efforts. Year 1 would consist of The Traveler bouncing between all of the destinations of D1 and D2, healing them as we defend and aid The Traveler in the process. The last leg of the Traveler’s efforts in Sol would consist of it personally arriving to The Dreaming City to try and rectify the curse that’s been in place since Forsaken. From there, we’d begin visiting and healing worlds beyond Sol, many of which that had been alluded to time and again, starting with Riis. And along the way, we’d be bouncing back and forth between protecting/aiding The Traveler, thwarting threats back home, and investigating the dire whispering of threats new and old that are beginning to arise in this new age._
I’d call it… *_🙌”The Manifest Destiny Saga”🙌_*
Who writes this stuff? It lacks depth and commom sense towards your own lore. Not to mention that it squanders phenomenal opportunities and storylines that could have been built by Fikrul. Not trying to criticize, but critique. They have great story writers, it's been shown - but one problem that I have with the whole seasonal/episode format is that it makes story beats go too fast. That makes it lack the depth and detail that many stories (like this one, with such lore implications that it has) need, and it ultimately waters them down.
Look, I Love this game. Thousands of hours, so on. But handing such an obviously villain character such a kinda sewn together redemption arc is just painful. While some may say Savathun had the same thing, I'd point out that she had actual depth and background to allow for that. Eramis popped onto the scene during beyond light, chilled for an expansion and a half (literally), then enters this weird contrived redemption arc. Not saying it's bad, but like, come on Bungie, yall can right better than this. Not only that, but the literal (friendly eliksni) character that we've had since LITERALLY RED WAR is right there. Not mad, just disappointed.
Yeah I'm sorry I just can't see anything that is canon after The Final Shape, my light went separated from my body, same for my ghost, and now we're just chillin' in the streets of the Last City 😂
At least the Dungeon was cool.
So Eramis is unrepentant and rewarded. This narrative is weak. Cherry on top is that she denies therapy, which is a common way irl criminal defense we show that the monster's actions didn't happen in a vacuum. Rim shot. So like they almost made a tighter story, but then were like na screw it. Eramis is Queen, pressure wash Mithrax with the wand and let's GTFO.
Leaving this series was a good decision . When you hire mid get mid results. My money demands more

There is not really a reason to play the seasons.
Also ik that we are trying to save everyone but why is it always happy endings? Although mithrax is one of my fave characters. The story always has to end the threat before it even becomes a problem for the good guys.
Warframe has been fun tho
Every single person in the writers room this season needs to be fired. I have never advocated for people losing their jobs before but the people who wrote this slop should never touch a keyboard or a pen or a pencil ever again.

Episode 1 & 2 MID AF. This last episode better knock it out of the park because everything thats been released after Final Shape its been ass. Heresy better be good dont disrespect the Dreadnaught with short bs make it count to build hype n gain numbers foward to the dlc model apollo and behemoth. This game is on a very very thin string of life this game is breathing on life support. we got the player base split into marvel rivals, warframe, The First Descendant, and Cod as a whole. get out of this one bungie and fix this mess. (The COPE Is Real With This One)

@Sam_Dragonborn1 she opened a portal to the vex possibility dooming entire bloodlines and family's of defenceless elixsni she attacked the city none stop during onslaught and she also attempted to destroy the traveller also allowing xivus forces to invade she's had no reason to get a redemption arc
Maybe this redemption arc was a bit too sudden, and to be fair, just like what happened to Crow formerly Uldren, it is extremely hard to give someone who's wronged a lot a second chance - especially if they took something away from you directly. But I personally think it was necessary. It was a bit too fast, but it is best this way

This season gave an immaculate bookend to Eramis' immaculate arc, some of the best writing BUNGIE's ever done, please don't head the people who can't be botherred to understand her, give the writers a raise because a 4 year character arc that fits together this well takes immense talent to pull off.
I wouldn’t call it immaculate, but I am content with where Eramis is now.

@yousofmwiiu86 Not the whole story, just Eramis' arc, it's the best story BUNGIE ever told, and probably the best character arc I've seen in a long time across any game. It sounds dramatic, but that word has to apply to something, otherwise what's the point of it existing?
