How I try to handle/ resolve conflict: I pray first for God to give me wisdom and soften both our hearts. To lead me as I speak and help my tongue not be poison. If I feel the Holy Spirit saying “ not now” it’s important to listen as the Spirit guides.

you got married the same age as my husband and i, i was 24 turning 25 he was 28 turning 29. 9 years later we are still here. Happily married. We grew up togethere. ❤❤❤
    1. Having to tell my parents where my husband works
    2. How to raise our kids, it is still very difficult even today.

I resonate so much with Hungani and this is just enough proof that I made the right decision to walk away, even though it hurts.
I just broke up with my partner because he was avoidant and I am solution focused. He never really got time to address my concerns and was not open to a conversation of understanding our differences.
Waiting around just felt like settling. Coz time was passing by with no clarity and a lot of shutting me down when I try to voice out my concerns.
Also the relationship was not allowing me to show up as myself, being loud and expressive I had to keep it down to respect his needs while mine took the backseat.
I’m going through it. I know better is on the other side of this. I just hope I can run into my husband already because this dating thing is energy consuming and I’m ready to put all that energy where I am accepted authentically and there’s room for me to grow without shaming who I am currently.
Thank you for sharing your story family. ❤

This is not usual, where young people like yourselves become authentic with such matters and allow some level of vulnerability. God has set you apart for a special taks in the ministry. May He empower you with His word that you may be able to do it for His glory. Lovable people.

I’m like Steph when it comes to conflict, I just find it hard to articulate my thoughts and feelings at the time. I end up feeling overwhelmed and so I prefer to take some time and gather my thoughts then come back and express myself. I realise that is not always the best choice because I then overthink and when I’m eventually ready to talk I filter a lot of stuff because I don’t want to make things worse.

I love this topic so much. When i met my husband we had the topic about conflict before we got married. He dealt with things like Steph and I like Hungani. The only difference I spoke same time but harshly and would later apologise. Now I know better. We both cool off and talk later but never go to bed mad at each other. If we have an argument later we will sit in the lounge until we have cooled off and spoken about the matter calmly then go to bed.

I am steph when it comes to conflict, i run away because if i have to respond right there and then, its fire!! Husband wants us to solve it right there and then. I think its usually because the guys dont want us to go to bed grumpy because of the bed issue 😂😂😂

Yes within collaboration there will often be a compromise,it maybe not be known or recognized by the other partner but u who is comprising will know within yoself that u r comprising. Sometimes u may both be comprising without both even realizing that u both are compromising.

it hardly happens though that when we collaborate there's always gon be compromise cause collaboration is coming together towards something the same way. i understand hungani when it comes to compromise vs collaboration. it's not the same thing and when collaboration happens it's rare that one has to compromise.(this point is based on what steph said about it)

It's still crazy to me how you guys moved from 300+ guests to only 59😅 it is admirable though and I loved that it wasn't because of lack of funds but just your decision.
I enjoyed the video because it's also a reminder of the importance of having excellent skills of dealing with conflict because sometimes relationships are ruined because the lack of conflict management skills and communication in general.
