- In this full-length process video, you see me sketching the building from a reference photo by retrog19 (link to the image is below)
You can clearly see the writing style sketching method in action. Also very well visible is the layering process of the marker colors, slowly building up to the darker values in the sketch.

Thank you for this video, Albert. I watched the Domestika course last week, and now I am completely obsessed with sketching. Every building that I look at, I'm sketching in my head, even if it is not on paper. I love it - it's such a relief not to have to do straight lines! thank you for your fantastic guidance x
That's fantastic!! It's such a great thing too see a world of possibilities opening up like this. I'm very glad you have discovered this too!!🍀
Just purchased your book and this video helped me see your technique in real time. Very inspiring - thanks for the tutorial.
Just received your book…it’s very well done…love it!

Weer 'n mooie trigger om door te gaan.
Super! Mooi om te horen!👍🏻🍀
Thank you for this video. I have also purchased your Domestika course. I have been looking for a video where you sketch in “normal” speed. I love your technique and have been trying to practice it.
Great job!
Thank you! 🙏🏻🍀✨
Lovely work! I just don't understand how you start in the middle of nowhere and move from one area to the next! And it all comes out so nicely. I have to make my basic shape and then go to the little stuff. I'm on my 3rd one but have to do a little touch-up before sending it in and then I broke my wrist 2 days ago. It may be awhile
Take your time Barbara!🍀 Actually that 'starting in the middle of nowhere' is one of the things that make in 'exciting' for me. It is almost on the fly improvisation from the first stroke I lay down. If you don't feel comfortable doing that. Doing some basic pencil setup is fine. But don't use the lines to trace over, but as very loose guides!
perfect..
Thank you again. Ive just subscribed after doing your Domestic course. I was interested to learn today how you can knock back the white after you put in the drainpipes etc
Thanks for that Janine! I will also do a short on precisely that topic in an upcoming video! I will create a new channel called 'Marker minutes' (I love coming up with names like that ;-)
Sensacional
Thank you! 🙏🏻🍀✨
Perfekt
I like Your art. I would like to draw like You. Maybe someday... 😅
Albert has a course on Domestika! I am taking it now, it is really good!
@@stephenjames820 I know, I know. 😅. I finished it a month ago😊
I'm sure you will! Keep sketching on a regular basis!!💫
Your art is amazing. May i ask what art supplies you use? Are those Copic markers or another brand? And how many do you have? What type of paper are you working with?
Thanks! I use both Copic and Winsor &Newton markers on Moleskine Sketchbooks.🍀
Is marker with tank of water and colour? I have ww n but are very darkness…tnks.
I use alcohol markers from W&N, not watercolor🍀
Albert, what number do you use of pen? Thanks.
If you stop the vid when pen is full, view , Faber castelle 0.1 looks like to me . Definitely fine tip ...❤
Hi, can you please share the markers names, thank you
👏👏👏👍👍
