Wanting Bartomeu out has nothing to do with his relationship with Messi. We're judging him purely by his performance as president ie by the people he appoints, the transfer deals, the way the club is being managed, the vision for the club, and most importantly, how the club is doing. If Bartomeu was doing his job correctly, then no one would say anything.
And yes, the Pjanic Melo swap deal once again shows how incompetent the board is. They basically wasted all their money on big-money transfers, and had to sell a future star for a player near his retirement (as if Barca is not sluggish enough already). This was a deal made out of financial necessity,, which was the result of poor planning and management (something synonymous with his board).
