If you think about this fight in-universe, its almost perfectly match. The son of the Boss VS the son of Big Boss. Both were equally matched in strength, skill and will. Snake just happened to come out on top this time.
Ocelot is essentially Big Boss' son, considering he's been his top follower since he was in his 20, and Ocelot never met his real parents. Reminder Ocelot had terrible hand to hand skills in 3, he can fight like this because of Big Boss.
@@RoomygotAutumn I don't think a Young Snake could take Ocelot at his peak in straight hands considering Ocelot has more CQC experience, but that's just me.
Yeah the reason that double throw avoidance back and forth was such a big deal in literally shaking the Liquid out of Ocelot was because he'd done an identical move with Big Boss back in the WIG at the end of MGS3. Bet that gave him the mother of all flashbacks.
I think you got the names mixed up, foxdie is a lethal virus injected into snake at the beginning of the game, what ocelot is injecting into snake and himself is probably some sort of adrenaline (Also its not like snake needs the adrenaline shots to fight, its just that at the time of the fight he wasnt in any condition to fight becuase he went trough an hallway of microwaves and literally got cooked)
No no, you're all super wrong. The injectjon is a substance that temporarily halts nanomachine activity. This is why you have to inject Vamp with it before you kill him, because he's essentially immortal when his nanomachines are working.
This was all after what Snake did throughout MGS 4. Just spent 5 minutes in a microwave. Also, Ocelot has a cyborg right arm that can dent bulletproof armour.
You have to remember that Kojima made MGS4 to show the fans that Solid was out of his prime and at the end of his ropes. That's why he had Solid not land many of his blows or execute them properly.
It's funny that Liquid lost even though he and Snake were trained by the same person and Liquid has more experience with the teachings, since he's older and is also the number 1 Big Boss fanboy, although in the actual lore, Liquid lost the fight on purpose.
I mean, it's not close even after Snake has been dealing with his accelerated aging, FOXDIE(new and old), fighting his way through the B&B Corps, the Frogs and being cooked with radiation and fighting the Drones. That Snake was even capable of movement at all, much less fighting a completely fresh Liquid Ocelot and WINNING is testament to how much of a badass Snake really is.
Those headers in round three by Liquid I almost wouldn’t count. Good headbutt technique involves taking your forehead, the strongest part of your head, and applying it to their jaw, nose, and other softer parts. He applied those headbutts right to Snake’s forehead. As far as I’m concerned that’s a missed move, he’s hurting himself as much as Snake at that point.
Snake opening round 2 with a switch kick roundhouse and tripling up w the jab was absolutely diabolical timing. Edit: wow. He followed up w like 5 more kicks after that, bro is fr cooking rn
I love that part. Because it was also after Liquid was pounding his ass for a whole minute. I choose to believe Snake got a feel for the fight, that’s why he was able to start turning the tables.
The really insane thing is that Snake does this immediately after almost getting cooked alive by radiation
@@Strongmount if an oven can't stop him. Nothing can
For real, Snake got the “I accidentally put my hot pocket in the microwave for 20 minutes” treatment
@@TiE23 Yooo 🤣😂
Microwaves, not radiation. Microwaves excite and heat up water molecules. Raw radiation is bad to everything, both organic and electronics.
Tbf liquid was also getting killed by foxdie
I dont know why but your commentary and the fact im watching an MMA breakdown of Solid Snake vs. Ocelot had me cracking up the whole time
Metal Gear Solid. The gift that keeps on giving.
Facccts!

Snake was old as fuck at this point I think snake would've beat his ass 5 years earlier but that's me. Ocelot can throw down tho

Yooo great catch! I didn't even notice that
@@CrueltyFreeD Note that Snake and Ocelot are in reversed positions in 4 though
@@whensomethingcriesagainif you do it enough times you can change positions again and have ocelot do it the same way he had in mgs 3

Excellent point, The fact that snake did all this after what happened prior is nuts!
Also i appreciate the explanation about foxdie 👍
The adrenaline like stuff is nano machines

they're not injecting foxdie into themselves 😂
Its killing me that he keeps calling it foxdie XD its nanomachine suppressant my guy
Damn being in such a shape in his 70s - Respect Ocelot.
I didn't expect to see MGS fight breakdowns, but I'm all here for it!

Much appreciated! I'm going to keep trying to get better and better
Outstanding job, didn't think this fight was that insane until you broke it down. Boss would be proud
I have never heard a Miea Lua De Compasso called a stingray tail kick before.

Solid “Face Down, Ass Up” Snake
Ayyyyy 😂
"Leaving a man face down, ass up." Jesus dude lol
Damn man this fight was epic having you break it down like that really puts it into perspective
Great review it’s to see this boss battle being review
Forgot all the chokes and head slamming snake does during the stages of fighting
